Prom King Part ONE

A/N: This is going to be a series of mini one shots following a ~special~ couple as they realize they have feelings for each other during prom season

For @PrettyPrincess165 sorry if it's a bit weird, this isn't a ship I've heard of before

Oh yeah, btw I'm throwing out cannon almost completely, so like Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do get along and the school fight never happened. Also they're all friends bc I said so, and the plot needs it, so deal with it ;D

Mystery POV

It's officially prom season again, which means hordes of couples and cheesy promposals. And here I am again, single. No guy is going to want to take me to prom, much less the guy I wish would ask me.

"Are you even paying attention to me?" My friend Moon snaps her fingers in front of me.

"What? No, sorry. What did you say?"

"I said, what are you wearing to prom?"

"Oh, I'm not going."

"What do you mean you're not going? You have to go, it's PROM."

"I don't have a date and I don't want to ruin everyone else's night by being the only single friend. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for someone to ask me to the dance but that's never gonna happen."

"You're crazy, of course you're gonna get asked to the dance, are you sure you won't come dress shopping with me?"

"I'm sure, but if you insist I'll text you my measurements later so if you see something good in my size you can send me a pic. This does not mean buy me a dress Moon, I'm not going."

"You're no fun, y'know that?"

"Yeah I know, now, let's get to class."

Little did our protagonist know that someone overheard her conversation...

A/N: I wasn't planning on posting this series this early but I'm slightly high on pain meds and laughing gas from a ~surprise~ surgery at the dr's office today and I don't trust myself to write anything, so here's a chapter I had prewritten, lmk what you think- details are on the previous chapter, nothing's changed
