What I Had To Do (Robby)

A/N: So I'm a liar, istg I meant to start writing shit again sooner but doing personal finance online was wayyy harder than I thought and summer school lasted for a month and a half and then my parents decided we needed to take a trip lmao (I finally got to bring my new car home from my grandmother's house though so that's a plus) and then Eurydice (the show I'm stage managing) rehearsals started the day before school started so I'm v busy and v sleep deprived but I'm thriving (in 3 AP and 2 dual credit classes). Also, I started writing this in july so I'm really sorry it's taken like two months. Anyways, welcome to the angst train part one... Extra long as an apology for falling off the face of the earth

I met my boyfriend at the start of second semester last January. I'd just moved to the valley and my parents wanted me to start school right away to "keep me out of trouble". It wasn't actually all that bad, Robby and I met in history when he let me share his textbook until I could get one from the bookstore. He introduced me to his friends Sam and Demetri who were also really nice and we all became friends really quickly. Robby and I were always toeing the line of something more though, and when he asked me to prom I was ecstatic and of course I agreed. It was amazing and we had so much fun, that was when I realized that I was falling in love with my best friend.

Robby and I have been dating for about two months now but we've been inseparable for seven (pretty much since we met). School doesn't start for another few weeks and I wanna make the most of it, but I feel like I should probably tell him what he's getting into before we go any further, I'm just scared it'll change things between us.

A hand appeared in the middle of my view, I turned to see who was disrupting my train of thought. My boyfriend grinned at me and asked; "Penny for your thoughts?"

"You don't wanna know." I groaned and let my face fall into my hands.

Robby looked concerned, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, it's just a rough time of year at my house."

"Is there anything I can do?"

"Distract me?"

"Of course babe." He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me to sit closer to him. "Are you still down to go get food after we leave?"

"Uhhh my parents are kinda mad at me right now so I might be able to go anywhere."

"Do you just wanna do a movie night at your house then? If your parents will let you, I mean."

"That's fine, they just think I'll get into trouble or something if they let me go out by myself."

He laughed and kissed the side of my head, "What do they think you're gonna do? Get arrested?"

"Something like that." I laugh nervously before standing up and offering him my hand, "I just have to go grab something from the science lab and then I'm good to go, you?"

"I already got everything." He took my hand and stood so I could lead him towards the lab where my bio project was waiting for me to take it home and finish it.
