Ursa Minor (Miguel)

A/N: request for @louiskaurrr - Miguel and y/n go on a cute date

Y/n was getting ready for her date with Miguel, he had told her to meet him at the park at 7 and it was almost 6:15. He refused to tell her what they were doing, only that she should wear warm clothes so she had put on jeans and a sweater, hoping it would be enough. She tied up her hair and slid on some shoes before leaving for the half hour drive to the park.

She pulled into the parking lot and hopped out of her car to go to the spot Miguel had told her to meet him. She saw him from a distance and sprinted the rest of the way so she could throw herself into his arms.

"Hi," she jumped on him and he caught her, stumbling back a bit.

"Hi, y/n. Are you ready for tonight?"

"Hell yeah I am, what are we doing?"

"You'll just have to wait and see."

He grabbed her hand and started pulling her down a small trail that was hidden by trees. When they emerged from the trees, she gasped as she saw the work her boyfriend had put into their date. There was a screen tied to a tree with a projector, as well as a picnic blanket and food.

"Wow, I can't believe you did all of this."

"I wanted to surprise you," he rubbed the back of his neck nervously, "do you like it?"

"Like it? Babe, I love it. This is beautiful, I'm speechless."

"I'm glad you like it. Are you ready for the movie?"

"What are we watching?"
"Oh nothing much, just the greatest movie in cinematic history..."

"YOU GOT THE PRINCESS BRIDE?"

"Of course I did, we can't have a park movie night with any other movie."

He led her to the blanket and they both sat down. He opened the picnic basket and took out some drink bottles, one of which he offered to y/n which she gladly accepted.

"C'mere, it's getting cold and I have more blankets." Miguel patted the ground directly next to him and y/n scooted over so she was curled into his side.

"You were right to tell me to wear warm clothes, thanks for the heads up."

"No problem love," he kissed the top of her head and then started the movie.

After the movie they lay on the ground, just looking up at the stars and pointing out constellations to each other.

"Look! That one's ursa minor." Y/n pointed up at a blob of stars.

"No way, that's not a constellation."

"Is too."

"Prove it."

"Okay, watch me," she pulled out her phone and opened a stargazing website and sure enough, that blob of stars was in fact, ursa minor, "HA, told you so."

"Okay fine, you were right."

She cuddled closer to him to fight the cold, he wrapped his arm around her to pull her as close as possible.

Y/n yawned, "Are you ready to go babe?" Miguel looked down at her and brushed some hair out of her face.

"Yeah, I'm gonna fall asleep."

"Okay, if you wanna put the food back into the basket I'll clean up everything else real quick."

She nodded in agreement and they both sat up to start picking up.

Once everything was cleaned up, Miguel took y/n's arm and led her to her car,

"I don't know if I can drive babe, I'm literally about to fall asleep."
