His POV
I just hung up with my sobbing girlfriend who asked me to come get her from her school. I called up my best friend and asked him to come with me so we can drive through the night. He agreed so I'm picking him up in half an hour. I don't understand how her parents could simply tell their daughter to find her own way home from halfway across the state. That's insane, how can you just do that to your child? I'm glad she called me so I can come get her, I know she's probably regretting it, thinking that she's bothering me but honestly, I'd rather her call me to come get her than try to hitchhike. School in the valley is already out anyways, her school is just weird and goes into the summer. I can't wait to see her again, it feels like it's been forever and I miss her like crazy, she's my favorite person and while she's been gone, facetiming her has been the best part of my day but now I get to actually see her. God, I've missed her so much, it really sucks that this is why, but I'm really glad I get to see her again. If I could, I'd scoop her up and protect her from everything, but I can't so I'm doing the next best thing. I just need her to hang on until I can get there.
