Where We're Going (Tory)

A/N: just a bit of romantic fluffiness in honor of the cheesiest holiday that has been commercialized to no end

You were just finishing putting in your earrings when there was a knock at your door. You grabbed your shoes and went to answer it.

"Hey baby," your girlfriend Tory was standing there with flowers that she held out to you.

"Hi!" you threw yourself into her arms and she spun you around before setting you down and kissing you.

"Are you ready to go?" she glanced down at your shoeless feet.

"Give me like two seconds to put on my shoes and then I will be."

You ran over to the chair and put your shoes on, grabbing your purse as you walked out the door. Tory offered you her hand which you gladly accepted as you walked to her car. She opened the door for you;

"M'lady," she gave a mock bow as you curtseyed and climbed into the passenger seat. She walked around the car and got in;

"Where are we going?"

"Wouldn't you like to know,"

"Yes, I would actually. You've been keeping this whole thing under wraps since the first time you mentioned it, I have no fucking clue where we're going."

"You'll see when we get there."

She started the car and drove off.

She pulled into the parking lot by the beach and you looked at her confused.

"What are we doing here?"

"I made us a picnic and came down here earlier to set up the fire pit."

"Aww baby, I love it."

"Really?" you nodded, "I'll grab the basket, will you grab the blankets?"

"Sure thing babe."

You both get out of the car and walk around to the trunk to pull out the items and carry them down to the fire pit.

When you got down to the beach, you noticed that the fire was already going and there was a stack of firewood a couple feet away.

"Wow, how early did you come down here and get all this wood?"

"Meh not too early, just a couple hours ago."

"You didn't have to do all that for me."

"No, I didn't. But I wanted to, happy valentine's day babe, I love you."

"I love you too Tory." You stood up on your tiptoes to kiss her and she helped you out by bending down a bit and grabbing your waist. "Happy Valentine's day love."

She kissed your nose and let go of you so you were completely on the ground again, "Are you ready for dinner?"

"Duh, what are we having?"

"Well, I made that soup you taught me how to make and then I went over to that bakery you like and got us some dessert."

"Oh my god, really?"

"Yup, do you like it?"

"I love it babe."

She smiled at you as the two of you spread out the blanket so she could start laying out the food.

"Holy fuck Tory, you brought way more than just soup and some dessert."

It was true, she had also packed some bread and corn chips to go with the soup as well as lots of fruit and what seemed to be all the things needed to make s'mores

"I wanted to do something special for you, you've done so much to help me over the last few months and I just wanted to thank you properly."

"Aww baby, you know I don't mind coming over to help you out. You have a lot on your plate between your mom and your brother, it's the least I could do to help you, I don't need some extravagant thank you."

"I wanted to give you one, you really did way more than I would've ever asked of anyone, let alone my girlfriend."

You leaned over and pressed your lips to hers in a sweet kiss, "You didn't need to ask me, I'm always happy to help you."

"God, I love you."

"I love you too, now can we get to the food part?"

She laughed, "Yeah we can get to the food part now," she handed you a thermos of soup with a spoon, "here's yours and the rest isn't really portioned so have at it."

You started digging in and stifled a moan at how good it was, "this is fucking amazing babe, you did great."

She blushed, "thanks," but you were eating more and barely heard her.

After you had both eaten most of the food and were full, she pulled you into her side and you rested your head on her shoulder. She kissed the top of your head, "I love you y/n."

"I love you too Tory, thank you for tonight. This was so much fun and you put so much effort into it."

She placed her hand under your chin and pulled you up to look at her, "I have an actual gift for you."

'There's more? I mean, your present is in the car but you already did so much."

"Just one more thing," she pulled a small box out of her jacket pocket and held it out to you.

You opened it and inside sat a gorgeous heart necklace with a small stone, "wow, this is beautiful T."

"I wanted to get you something special since it's almost our two year anniversary."

"Help me put it on?"

"Of course, give it here." You handed her the necklace and moved your hair out of the way so she could clasp it around your neck.

Once it had settled around your neck you turned around and kissed her, deeper this time and she pulled you to her so that you were now straddling her lap.

"This was great babe, lemme run to your car really quick."

You hopped up and grabbed her keys to run back up to her car. Once you got there, you reached under the seat and pulled out the box you had gotten for her. As it turns out, great minds do think alike because you had gotten her an almost identical necklace. You practically sprinted back down to the beach and plopped back down on her lap.

"Close your eyes."

"What?"

"Close your eyes."

"Okay.."

"Just do it, you'll like it, I promise."

She closed her eyes and you slid the necklace on and sat back before giving her the okay to open her eyes. She started laughing;

"Wow, this is gorgeous y/n, I can't believe we got each other basically the same gift."

"Hey, I guess it just means that we know each other too well."

"Is that even a thing?"

"Hmmm maybe not, I'm certainly not mad about it."

"Me neither babygirl," she pulled you down for another kiss and you guys sat like that for god knows how long, just enjoying the fire and each other's company.

A/N: Hawk coming out later, we got a snow day because there's a solid 3-4 inches of snow and we're supposed to get almost a foot more this afternoon so my school schedule is wack today but I managed lol. And just for the record, I'm 5'3" so I'm sorry if you're taller and wondering why you're looking up at Tory since she's only like 5'6", I'm just short and the only character even close to my height is Sam since she's like 5'3" as well.
