Christmas is just around the corner…

Banyak administrative work that I have to complete sebelum saya mengambil cuti panjang for Christmas, New Year and my marriage registration…  not to forget Holly’s wedding and Joshua’s birthday masa New Year juga…

Days passed by sejak my talk with Thania in the kitchen… dari hari tu, saya mengelak dari going to the Robinsons, nasib juga Sydney faham and he decided to stay with me at my parents’ house… at least until Lilia Edisson is not staying next door sudah…

Saya hairan juga kenapa Holland yang begitu tegas tidak dapat menghalau Lilia dari rumah dia… but Sydney told me Thania minta 2 minggu saja untuk make sure Lilia pulih sepenuhnya  and ok to be on her own…

I know the Robinsons, not only Holland fought Thania on Lilia’s issue like mad, tapi Thania masih stand on her ground… her motto ‘be kind to everyone, help everyone in need, thus you will be blessed with good karma…’ saya tidak tau setakat mana kebenaran tu, but I believed every word that Sydney says…

Pergaduhan besar terjadi di antara Holland and Thania, punca juga dari Thania yang masih ingin membantu Lilia... dan akhirnya Holland mengalah... ini story saya dengar dari Bella bila saya hangout with her at Sydney and her firm… hahaha... masa tu Sydney ada client and he insist on bringing me to work…

Dalam Bella’s office kami berkopi-kopi…

“mana sudah tu bira?” saya tanya sambil rolling my eyes…
“bira?” terbulat mata Bella…

“yang bibir macam bulldozer boleh kasi rata jalan raya tu bah…” astaga, Angelarra… then I covered my mouth… buduh kau ni, kau tu pregnant… erk…

“Jesty?” Bella tanya saya… nah Bella pun tau… hahaha! berketawa kami… “kenapa? dia ada hots for Sydney kah?”

Saya memuncungkan mulut… then saya kasi cerita pasal Antonia juga dengan susu gantung-gantung dia tu… ciss!

“bertabah sajalah kau, Rara…” ketawa si Bella reda sudah… “Syd tu memang banyak peminat dari masa school lagi…”

Alamak… Jesty and Antonia pun sudah buat saya naik angin, belum lagi Lilia... I don’t think I can handle anymore of your fanatic fans, Sydney…

Saya menunduk sesaat-dua, lantas saya mendongak dan memberanikan soalan yang bermain di fikiran saya sejak saya dapat tau Bella and Lilia were childhood bestfriends… they went to the same school and university together… dorang sangat akrab sampai hari Lilia berkahwin dengan lelaki lain dan meninggalkan Sydney tanpa pengetahuan any of the Robinsons…

“Bells…” my voice low…
“mmm?” Bella replied sambil menghiup kopi dia…

“only Thania seems to be helping Lilia… don’t you want to forgive her and help her juga?” saya tanya… my heart beating fast in anticipation… waiting for Bella’s answer…

“no…” Bella replied bluntly… tiada keraguan dengan jawapan Bella… “blood is thicker than water… that’s what I said to Lilia when she left my brother and tried to fix our friendship after that…”

Bella sambung lagi...
"Thania..." Bella menghela nafas berat... "if you're wondering why Lilia is still in their house, Thania threatened Holland kalau dia membantah the 2 weeks that she asked for, she will bring Jojie and Nathan out of the house for that 2 weeks together with her and Lilia to her parents' house..."

"what?!" terkejutnya saya...
"dia bilang dia terhutang budi sama Lilia dulu..." Bella said, but did not explain further...

Macam jauh fikiran Bella menerawang…
“I nearly lost my brother… and I won’t ever forgive her fo what she has done to Sydney… dia boleh saja come clean and tell us she chose Nielson… but she did not... sampai bila dia mau kasi tapuk yang dia sudah kahwin? Imagine bah, if my brothers never attended her wedding, sampai bila-bila pun kami tidak akan tau yang dia sudah kahwin… and she could just turn up 5 years later like now and give whatever excuses to get back with Sydney… sambung belajar, kena culik, hilang ingatan… semua pun boleh dibuat alasan… right?”
