Part 4: A Venomous Mind

WE FINALLY BACK! RWBY finally got off of break and gave us some spicy new episodes. There were a few things I was a little sus about, but mostly it was great and was entertaining. 

Lots of weird things in Warframe that I haven't been paying attention to haha. If There were any additions to the game beyond just new Warframes, then this story will remain  more or less the same, meaning it'll still be taking place during the Heart of Deimos update.

AOT Final Season is so hype. Still waiting for Overlord S4.

"Operator, I've detected a frequency matching that of Penny's operating system," Ordis spoke into Skye's ear.

"Great, ping it for me and I'll be on my way to recover it. In the meantime, launch specters to assist with the defense effort. Combat and support types. Send messages to the other Blades to do the same. Maybe even leave Saryn or Obie as backup."

The Cephalon confirmed the messages before retreating into the recesses of the Weave.

As of right now, Skye flew overhead with her archwing, taking in the situation. The sound of gunfire from the Atlas military and the roars of Grimm echoed through the city. It seemed like the world was fighting its last stand, asking the question, Grimm or man?

There was one thing that bothered her though. Other than a few scouting oculysts, and the occasional combat unit sent in to apply pressure to the Atlesian forces, the Sentients weren't moving. The Condrix near the Whale Grimm hadn't unleashed their hordes of combat units yet. As much as she hated to admit it, it was the only thing that was keeping the Grimm from breaking through.

"It seems as though the specters are undergoing some kind of operational issue, Operator. It'll take time for them to launch properly."

She swore to herself silently, "Alright fine. Then let's get Hook, Claw and MOA into the fray."

"Understood."

A gold ping appeared on her HUD, hovering right around the Schnee manor. The main entrance was damaged with debris. A small crater that was covered in a strange green liquid had appeared. Drops of the same liquid trailed to inside the house.

"We got lucky," Skye murmured to herself, "Penny's been rescued."

Her blue hand touched a glass window, and it shattered. She flinched at the sudden sound, "That was louder than I expected."

She wrapped one of her hands around her Akstiletto and the other out in front of her, activating Sonar. She could see everyone inside the house. An older woman, a balding man, and two girls in a bedroom. A girl and a boy in an office. Two girls in an emergency generator room, with a strange doglike creature behind them.

Footsteps approached from above the stairs, and she whirled around, gun at the ready, to find Weiss standing there. The light glinted off of the point of her Myrtenaster. For a moment, they said nothing, an expression of pleasant surprise on the Schnee's face. Finally, Weiss lowered her sword.

"Miss Zariman. Good to see you. We really need the help," she said with a sigh.

The Tenno nodded before holstering her gun, "I can see that. Ordis managed to track Penny's body to this location. Any idea where she is?"

"She crashed outside the house. We brought her in to take care of her."

Skye's eyes narrowed. Her mind flew back to the top of Amity, when Penny began to behave strangely, with her eyes flickering red and green. She tapped the side of her helmet, "Ordis, run some diagnostics through Penny's operating frequency. I want to know what happened up there."
