Remnant's Only Tenno [Warframe x RWBY]

Retribution: Part 1

Alright so a few updates to the world again(yeah ikr).

Certain Warframes will cause certain emotions. For example Garuda will produce unyielding bloodlust, or Nidus will have an uncontrollable, wild animal kind of deal. These emotions/behaviors aren't strong enough to allow the Warframes to be self aware, and when a Tenno performs Transference, they usually have to suppress these feelings.

We're progressing the story a bit quickly, since we just hit the beginning of the Vytal Festival in only 9 chapters, but once we reach the Fall of Beacon, there will be a ton of differences in the RWBY story.

For now though, here's the newest chapter!

"The Vytal Festival is coming soon. As you know, Beacon is lucky enough to be hosting this year, so I expect the best of you four," Ozpin said to his first-year faculty. The four of them nodded. Skye head read about the Vytal Festival. A competition between the schools of Remnant, as well as just a simple celebration of culture.

"Professor Port and Oobleck, you two will be monitoring the Vytal Tournament, and will be the announcers for it as well. Glynda, Miss Zariman-"

"Professor Ozpin, at this point I'd prefer you to call me Skye. I've been here for six months now, and even Glynda has begun calling me Skye."

"Very well then, Skye. You and Glynda will perform a demonstration at the beginning of the festival, as well as act as security after your demonstration."

"What will this demonstration entail, exactly?" asked Glynda.

"Combat of course. You both are definitely skilled enough to refrain from killing each other, and while we have seen parts of your strength, it would certainly be interesting to see you fight without handicap." Ozpin said to Skye.

"I wouldn't recommend that. Glynda definitely is much stronger than anyone from the Origin System, save maybe Eidolons, Condrix, and the Profit-Taker and Exploiter Orbs. But my weapons were designed to kill in one hit. I'd be more comfortable with this," she tapped her Nikana, "along with an explosive bow. This way, Glynda would be able to use something against me. After all, a riding crop by itself isn't going to do much. But from what I've heard, her semblance is really something to behold."

Ozpin chuckled, "It is indeed. Although it would be more respectful if you went all out, I understand if you want to avoid hurting anyone."

"Thank you, Professor. However, I will give Glynda a real fight. This Warframe of mine may be my favorite, but I don't think it's suited to fighting her." Skye thought for a second about her enormous arsenal, thinking about which Warframe to use. Her thoughts settled on Valkyr. Not very close to her not wanting to hurt her colleague, but with Glynda's skill, Skye was definitely sure it was the right choice.

Skye lay knelt in front of her navigation console, meditating. Her Valkyr, colored gold, red, and white, knelt beside her. On the wild Warframe's back was a massive hammer taken from a Lich, the Kuva Shildeg. The weapon hissed with acid, displaying it's corrosive properties.

The Operator breathed deeply, her mind empty, silent. All she did was breathe. She heard the words of the Man in the Wall, 'Hey Kiddo' but payed them no heed. The Man in the Wall watched her, before getting bored and disappearing. The lights flickered slightly, but Skye didn't notice until Hook's growl pulled her out of her trance.

She transferred into Valkyr. Although the Warframe was under her control, and although it supposedly had no sentience, there was always an underlying feeling of anger there. Always a need to tear into something to appease that anger, and so whenever she used Valkyr, Skye meditated.
