This is a shorter chapter since the last one was almost 4k words lol. Have fun

"The Stalker is coming soon." She said to the gathered group. It consisted of Ironwood, Glynda, Qrow, Ozpin, and Winter. Immediately, Glynda and Ironwood started, and began torrenting her with questions. Ozpin sat calmly in his chair, and Qrow and Winter both looked confused.

"How did you know this? When is he coming?" asked Ironwood.

"How does he know where you are? What is he after?" asked Glynda. Ozpin thought about what she had said, then came to a conclusion.

"First, Skye, why don't you introduce yourself to Winter and Qrow? I'm aware they already introduced themselves to you, albeit under duress." Ozpin said, a hint of amusement in his voice.

Skye nodded, then turned to the two, "My name is Skye Zariman. What I tell you must be kept a secret from the students and anyone who isn't in this room. I was not born on Remnant. I am a warrior from elsewhere. I do not know my past. I am a Tenno, a part of a community of peacekeepers from where I came from. The Stalker, an assassin hell-bent to kill us, has somehow made his way to Remnant. He has the power to appear anywhere he kind find a Tenno, and his goal is to kill the target. Currently, I am his target."

Winter looked at Ironwood questioningly, and Qrow stared at the Tenno as he took a flask out from his coat and took a deep draft. "So basically you're being hunted by some interplanetary assassin, and you think he's going to appear at the Vytal Festival?" the drunkard Huntsman asked.

Skye nodded. "Pretty much."

"Then I believe we should set up our defenses, ensuring that no one can come in without authorization. That's standard protocol anyway," Winter said.

"The issue with that, is that the Stalker can appear anywhere he wants, as long as there's a Tenno within thirty feet of him. And combat isn't an option because he's just as capable as I am. The only difference between me and him is that he can die easily." She added the last part when she saw Ironwood open his mouth to speak.

"Then why don't you fight him?" asked Qrow.

"Because I'm worried about collateral damage. The Stalker doesn't care who gets in his way. He'll cut them down and continue to try and find me. This includes students and innocent people who came just to enjoy the festival and competition. With what I usually equip myself with," she tapped her sword, "it won't be enough to kill him. I'd need a full arsenal to do any damage to him."

Ozpin sighed, "Skye, you describe him like he can't be beaten, but from what I know about your past, this isn't the first time you've fought him. It's obvious you're still here, and so that makes it clear that there is a way to defeat the Stalker."

Skye nodded in agreement. "That's true. The biggest weakness he has is the way he arrives. If he were the perfect assassin, he could come and go anywhere he wanted without making a sound. But he can't. His arrival is always signalled by lights flickering several times, no matter where you are. Normally, this happens within a few seconds, but since both he and I are in unfamiliar territory, his little light trick became spread out over a few days. But I have no doubt that he'll arrive like normal once he finds out exactly where I am. Knowing I'm at Beacon isn't enough. He needs the smaller details, such as building and room.

"When he arrives, I want the first priority to be to protect the civilians. The Stalker has no qualms with holding back. His greatsword is a terrifying weapon, believe me, because I've used it before. Once the civilians are secured, I'm warning all of you to not fight him. No matter how skilled you think you are, you won't be able to kill him. He's lived hundreds of years, and during that time, he's battle thousands of Tenno, and lived. No offense to your world, but most of your best warriors can't hold a candle to a Tenno." Skye turned to Ironwood, "At first, I was unwilling to give you access to my technology, but now, there are more important matters at hand. Should you run into the Stalker, I want you to be prepared." She opened her menu and selected a set of Warframe Specter charges.
