Part 2: Remnant and the Origin

Alright, we back. After a nonexistent hiatus lol, we continue the story, beginning right before RWBY V4. Updates on the world:

It was a rather cold night. Rain hadn't stopped pouring over the town, and during the day, no one saw the sunlight very often. The outskirts of Mistral were peppered with relatively small towns, and this was one of them. Most of them were fitted with the most basic of buildings, like a bar, an inn, and a few workplaces that weren't farmland.

Recently, this town had been a target for... something. They weren't Grimm, that was for sure. Every few days, townspeople would hear strange chimelike sounds coming from the forest. Often, a few hours later, giant floating alien-like creatures would run rampant through the down. Each day, the town got smaller and smaller as more and more buildings were destroyed. The creatures were large, and looked as though they were constructed with some sort of bone-like material. At the center of their bodies was a glowing core. None of these creatures walked at all, instead they floated mysteriously.

However, it wasn't the strange aliens that were a topic of commotion tonight. After two or three weeks of attacks, the town had accepted that they were too strong, and resigned themselves to a slow and inevitable demise. The news that the town was buzzing about was the giant, spade shaped ship that flew overhead just hours before. They had heard that someone who formerly worked at Beacon had such a ship. But, unlike most of the former staff at Beacon, the person in question had gone missing for a period of two years, but now, it seemed that they had returned.

It was close to midnight now, and the rain hadn't let up. The people at the inn laughed and chattered like people in an inn did. Other than that, there was no sound other than the quiet patter of rain hitting the window. The door creaked open, and a tall figure stood there. No one could see her face, with that full faced helmet giving her a knight-like feel. Her head was diamond shaped, with the back becoming split into two horns, glittering gold. Her legs were fit and muscular, but not to the point where they were taut. Her waist was thin, almost cylindrical, and a major thing was different from the rest of her body. A large, ragged scar wrapped around her stomach, as if she had been split in half, and then put back together again. Her shoulders bore strange ribbon-like attachments. She wore a thin, yet ornate cape(Dex Nouchali Syandana). At her waist was a long, curved sword, it's scabbard glittering a bright blue. It's hilt was a beautiful golden color, it's handle wrapped in a dark blue cloth.

She walked towards the clerk, and asked, "Do you have any rooms available?" Her voice was soft, like she wasn't quite an adult yet, but her height said different. She looked almost six feet tall.

The clerk shook his head, "With all these strange attacks from the forest, people have been coming in over and over again for some place to live. We have some empty rooms, but those have already been reserved."

The tall warrior looked at him for a few seconds, and the clerk began to shift uncomfortably, "What happened in the forest?" She asked.

"Well, weird creatures come out at night. They're big and look nothing like Grimm, but I'd say they're a lot scarier. They don't react to anything at all. They just kill so... mechanically. At least the Grimm have some life-like tendencies."
