HUEHUEHUEHUEHUE. WE BACK BOIS. We're almost done with the storyline of V4 of RWBY, and will very soon be moving into V5. But no need to worry about that now.

Also, personal note, after Deimos was released I tried to get access to Helminth only to realize that grinding for Nidus is a massive pain :| So instead I got Saryn and Wisp lmao.

Tell me in the comments if there's a specific Warframe you want to see in use in this story. Otherwise 90% of it's just gonna be Banshee Prime XD

Enjoy the chapter!

Qrow was unconscious. The graze wound where the strange scorpion faunus hit him had turned an ugly shade of purple, and the blood on his bandages were stained with the same color. Around him, the kids looked around nervously, trying to find ways to wake him up.

"Uncle Qrow!" Ruby said, shaking him. Skye pulled out a codex scanner and scanned over his body.

"Ordis, any known poisons in his system?"

"There seems to be a mutating venom in his bloodstream. Unfortunately, the mutation process seems to be random, meaning that there is no way for us to produce an effective antidote. However, it seems that the venom itself is not always fatal, though death is a possibility. We will have to rely on his health."

"...Is there anything we can use to delay the venom?" Skye asked.

"We could use the antivenom for Saryn's spores or Nidus' infested bacteria, but there is a high probability that the resulting chemical could -ExPLoDe iN OuR fACeS- produce some... explosive reactions. Operator, I recommend that we leave him as is, or if you find some other solution, to do that instead."

The Tenno nodded in agreement. She didn't like the idea of having an explosive chemical in her Orbiter. "Drop us off Ordis, we'll find some wood to make a stretcher."

Jaune stood up angrily, "You're just going to leave him like this? He could be dying and you could do something to stop that!"

Ruby tried to calm him down, her hands grabbing his shirt, "Jaune, it's okay, she's doing all she-"

"It's not okay!" the angry blonde bit back, "Qrow could be dying and Skye won't do anything about it!"

Skye snapped her fingers to stop the arguing. No sound came from the two young Hunter's mouths, and they stared at the Warframe in disbelief, along with fury, in Jaune's case.

"I'm not leaving Qrow like this. Yes, Ordis said that it's possible to use antivenom for some of my Warframes to slow the poison in him. That comes at the risk of instead creating several versions of a possibly super volatile chemical, multiple times. Making antivenom, especially from Warframes, isn't as easy as making it from, say, a snake."

"But-"

Skye let out a frustrated sigh, "Look, if I could make him any kind of venom delaying agent, I would, but I can't risk it. The chemicals could destroy the ship or it could do damage to Qrow himself. Nobody wants that."

Jaune still looked like he was gonna argue back, but Ruby stood, put her hand on his shoulder and shook her head. The swordsman looked back at Qrow, a pained grimace on his face.

"It's not right."

"Sometimes you have to do something you don't want to in order to achieve your goals," Skye said, "C'mon, we're taking him outside."
