Hi Everyone! So quarantine was getting boring and I wanted to pull together something to do. I came up with this little story and decided that this would be a fun experiment. So here are a few notes.

1: This is before Apostasy Prologue, meaning that Space Mom(Lotus) has not abandoned us yet.

2: I myself haven't completed the entire star chart so I have no clue what Arbitrations and the Steel Path is like, but that's not super important to the story.

3: I haven't watched RWBY in a while so please forgive me if any of my portrayals are inaccurate.

4: The Chronological story of Warframe is not based on the order of updates that Warframe had. So a Tenno can obtain Protea before they obtain Garuda

I am open to criticism and am willing to make small changes if they do not affect my main goal of each chapter. With that being said, enjoy! -DrySkeleton

The Operator was bored. All day she wandered the ship, having nothing to do, spending time with her warframes, but never launching them into a mission. Extermination missions took no time at all. Capture targets were weak, and she could capture them after blasting them in the face once with her Kuva Chakkhur. Same with the high level assassination targets. So missions really were repetitive. She had already been able to build most of the warframes, with the exception of Protea, but her parts were near completion in the foundry, so that was a bust. Most of her day(if you could even call it a day in space) was spent sitting around, fashion framing her warframes and waiting for some special event, such as the Fomorian or the Razorback Armada returning. Even then, nothing really felt challenging to her.

"Operator, the system needs you! Will begin another mission?" Ordis chirped. Although the Cephalon could be annoying at times, it was in these moments of boredom and meaninglessness in her life that made the Operator grateful for a companion. Of course she had her kubrow, kavat, and MOA, but they weren't the same.

"No, Ordis, sadly I think that I've reached the pinnacle of strength."

"That is... unfortunate, Operator, however you still have a duty to the system. It is the job for the Tenno to protect the system, is it not?'

"There are thousands of other Tenno, many of which have so much to learn, why should I take away their opportunity to learn?"

"Operator - YoU'RE jUsT MAkIng EXCuSeS - that is no reason to cease your operations. There are always things such as Arbitrations, or you could always take up the Steel Path."

The Operator waved aside the Cephalon's suggestions, then turned to her warframe, frozen in place. An empty shell, with no mind to control it. She smiled. You wouldn't expect such a veteran Tenno to use a Banshee warframe, but it had been a favorite of hers for a long time. The Lotus had recently awarded her and her Banshee with the title of Blade of the Lotus, an honor only given to those who have achieved some form of greatness, whether that be becoming a major role during the Scarlet Spear operation, or those who have performed admirable feats, such as herself. This, of course, gave Banshee the new armor and helmet that came with the title, and every time the Operator looked at it, she swelled with pride.

Until she returned to her boring reality. It came clear to her that there was no longer a purpose for her in the system. At this point she was little more than a symbol for the other Tenno to look up to. She sighed discontentedly. Maybe if something new came up, there would be something interesting enough for her to run through.
