Part 3: A Grimm Pact

Aaaaand here it is! The last chapter in V7! Wow. I never thought I'd make it this far this quickly. It hasn't even been six months since this story began. I want to thank you all again for reading this story. It's nice seeing how people enjoy my writing.

We begin the battle between Salem and the Sentients against the Huntsmen and Tenno. Who will prevail? Who knows?! V8 is just around the corner!

The six Tenno stepped outside to see Atlas in chaos. Mantle was burning so badly that you could see the smoke from the floating city. Grimm sirens went off, and people were screaming. The Ace Ops and Teams RWBY and JNPR were nowhere in sight.

"W-what's happening?" Nidus asked nervously.

Oberon put a shoulder on their new friend's, "Something that I feel bad exposing you to. It's alright, your Warframe is one of the most durable out there."

"Is it?" the just awoken Tenno looked down at his Infested hands.

"Yep!" Saryn confirmed.

Skye called up the Ace Ops, "Hey, is anyone there? We've successfully controlled Nidus. He's a safe subject now."

To her surprise, Marrow picked up, "Yeah! The Grimm are all over Mantle, and there are still a few civilians headed to bunkers. After that, give us about half an hour and we'll be able to exterminate the Grimm!"

"No need," Skye replied, "We can kill them in five minutes. Just get the civilians to the bunkers and then get out of Mantle. Make sure the bunkers are airtight."

"What the hell are you talking about?!" That was Clover, "What are you going to do?!"

The Tenno let out a short laugh, "Just something you don't want to be inside of when we unleash it." She hung up.

"What are you talking about?" asked Oberon.

"When the citizens of Mantle are safe, we'll boost Saryn with Parasitic Link and Roar. Then, she'll unleash her full power Miasma, which should cover two, maybe three, cities the size of Mantle. That'll kill the Grimm once it settles."

"Why do I feel like I'm doing everything...?" Saryn grumbled.

Skye smiled at her, "Because your Warframe's probably one of the most powerful, sweetie."

"Please don't ever say that again."

"Right, sorry." She turned to their new Infested companion, "Okay, Nidus, time for some five minute training."

"H-huh?"

Two hands went on his shoulder as Rhino pushed him behind Saryn. The purple Blade looked at him, "Hey, kid." She waved.

"Um... hi..."

"Right, we'll do introductions later! For now, let's teach you to link to people!" Skye said a bit enthusiastically.

"What?"

"Put your hand on her back."

"But I-"

His blue teacher sighed, "Look, I'll explain all of this in detail later, but right now, I just need you to do this for me. Now, put your hand on her back."

Nidus put his hand on her back. With a clap of her hands, Skye said, "Great! Now, imagine a rope that connects you to her."

The Infestation on Nidus' arm began to twist and change, revealing his Warframe's muscle structure. Veins filled with Infested blood twisted unnaturally, like tentacles. Three of them twisted together before stabbing into Saryn's shoulder blade. She grunted in momentary discomfort, but otherwise stayed still. The blood vessels throbbed as they linked with Saryn.
