Part 3: Forced Awakening

This part I honestly didn't really know where I was going until the end lol. Idk why, but writing this made me think about the Alien movies lol.

Nidus shrieked, the Infestation sensing danger, while the Tenno inside cried out in fear. The red figure, Trinity, stepped forward cautiously, hand outstretched.

"Hush, Tenno. You're not alone here." Still, the Infested Warframe roared, and took a step back.

"Trinity, if it unleashes a Larva-" Rhino whispered.

"I know, Rhino. But it hasn't yet. It's hesitant, but it's teetering between its identity as a Warframe, and its identity as the Infestation."

Rhino grunted, "Just be careful."

His colleague nodded, before continuing to inch forward, "Tenno? Can you hear me? If you can, my name is Trinity. I'm like you. Something more than just a scared child. Something much stronger."

The newly awakened Warframe didn't move. Its body twitched occasionally. "You want to be away from the voices you hear. You don't want to be scared anymore."

Nidus' snapped to attention. Its head slowly tilted curiously at the red Warframe in front of it.

Trinity was only a few feet away from it now. Just one more step, and she'd be able to touch it.

"Fight the Infestation, Tenno. I know you can. You can win. It wants you to join it because it's afraid of you. The Infested are always afraid. Afraid to be eradicated from the universe. It fears the Tenno, so fight it."

Her hand touched Nidus' chest...

And everything went wrong. The Warframe screamed. The heat in the room suddenly went up as Infested fungi rapidly covered the walls. Spores leaked from them, smoking out the area.

"Saryn!" yelled Skye.

"On it!" the youngest Blade called back. She raised a hand, and unleashed her own Spores, killing off the Infested cells with a much more powerful venom. When the gas dissipated, Nidus was gone.

Rhino's arms were folded the entire time, but you could hear his grip tighten with anger. Similarly, Saryn looked around, before finding no trace of their Infested subject. The sound of steel against skin echoed through the halls as she kicked the walls in fury, "Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit!"

Trinity sank to the floor, distraught. Oberon was frozen, unsure what to do now. Skye was stunned.

"So, now what?" she said finally, after Saryn had finished with her tantrum.

"Well, sometimes the peaceful way isn't going to cut it," Rhino replied, "That's why we have five Blades, not one."

"I thought that just talking would work..." Trinity muttered, discouraged.

Skye walked up to her senior, "Hey, every Tenno is different. Maybe this one just didn't have the mental fortitude as some other Niduses. He'll be alright. The Infestation can't infect Tenno. The worst it'll do is make him scared."

"Still," Oberon chimed in, "too much fear can make someone insane. We don't want another result like Rell."

"We can find him within a day. We're Tenno, warriors who can travel hundreds of meters in seconds. C'mon guys, let's go."
