Tis the time to see how Nidus, Oscar, and Emerald shall escape the clutches of Salem

I really should update Warframe but I also don't really feel like it....

RWBY's getting pretty spicy. Ironwood's going nuclear :)

Enjoy!

(A/N: Oscar has already shown the password of the Lamp of Knowledge to Hazel and Emerald)

A sleeping Nidus was awoken by the sound of the door opening. The Infestation growled, annoyed at the sudden disturbance. The Tenno opened his eyes and looked at the newcomer. It was the giant man who had stopped him from escaping, Hazel, his name was. Behind him, a girl with light green hair and olive skin stood with her arms crossed. Hazel dragged a weak Oscar on the floor.

As he approached, the skin holding Nidus to the wall retracted back, releasing him from his morbid prison. He landed on his arms and knees, his dark veins pulsing wildly. The Infestation snarled when Hazel continued to get closer. "What do you want?" asked Nidus.

"We're getting out of here," Hazel replied, a hint of disdain in his voice, "I'm only releasing a monster like you because he asked me to." He gestured at Oscar, who winced. The Infestation didn't like his description of them. It roared at him, opening up all of the parts of its body, fighting against the Tenno, trying to attack Hazel. Miraculously, the Tenno managed to hold it back.

"How can I know I can trust you?" he asked, "I haven't exactly had the greatest time after I woke up."

Hazel grumbled something to Oscar, who in turn, whispered back, before looking at Nidus, "I guarantee you can trust these people, Nidus, if not, I'll let you run loose and Infest whatever you want."

It was the Tenno's turn to growl angrily now, "What makes you think I want to infest anything? Do you think I'm the same as this...." he gestured at the Warframe that he could barely control, "This hideous creature?"

Oscar took a step back. That was not how you should handle someone like him. Ozpin commented.

I know, I know! Oscar thought, I didn't know what else to say!

He's just as human as you and me, Oscar. He's stuck in a body he doesn't want to be in, and is probably spending every waking moment fighting to keep in control of it. He's just a scared child.

But the way the Tenno treated him-

Was how they treated the Infestation. Now, the Child is in control, and he needs reassurance rather than anything to do with his current.... Predicament.

Still, it was hard to look at that... thing and see it as someone like himself. That clammy skin, vile blood, and the fungus that grew on hidden parts of its body were absolutely disgusting. But, in order to do the right thing, they had to free Nidus from Salem's clutches. Knowledge from beyond Remnant was too dangerous for anyone here to control, and even if she could control Sentients, there was no guarantee that they'd stay that way, due to their adaptability.

"I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean that. Look, if we didn't want to free you, we wouldn't be here in the first place. So, it's your choice, come with us, or stay here."

Nidus blinked behind his helmet. He didn't expect such a quick apology, and was more prepared for more threats or something along those lines. He shook off his surprise and stepped past Hazel and Oscar, "I'll come with you, but the second I find any of the other Tenno, I'm sticking with them.
