Okay so yes, I pumped one out in two days because I was bored and I didn't have anything better to do. But don't expect anything like this again. We're approaching the end of Volume 4, and soon the story of RWBY gets pretty wacky. But that's talk for later.
Also I never noticed but a lot of Ember art has her Phoenix helmet lol. Nobody likes mohawk Ember I guess.
Enjoy!

Skye stared at the fire, shaking with anxiety. Remnant already had powerful forces plaguing it so, and on top of that, she had accidentally brought an interstellar war right to its front porch. The thought filled her with guilt and dread.
The rest of the group saw her determination fade slowly away from her eyes. Concern for her filled the air. The Tenno squeezed the bright blue coin she held. It pulsed with plasma energy in response. For a while, no one said anything. The only sound anyone heard was the crackle of fire.
"So even before I got here, Remnant was already in danger?"
"Afraid so," Qrow said. Skye nodded solemnly. And the group returned to silence.
"Look, you came at a bad time. You may have added to our problems. But nothing goes right all the time. Sometimes things crash and burn. And remember, a person is worth the good they can do, not how much bad they will bring," Qrow put his hand on the Tenno's shoulder, "You helped save Vale. You taught these guys as much as you knew. And now we're on our way to prevent anything worse from happening. It's thanks to everyone who was at Beacon that we're here now, and that includes you. We don't need you sulking. We need someone level-headed, someone that understands the mission and will carry it out dutifully. And from what I know, that's exactly what the Tenno do."
Skye sat motionless, then took a deep breath. Qrow was right. This wasn't the time to sulk. If the other Blades, the other Tenno saw her like this, how would they react? Would they still look up to a Blade who got sad after failing a mission? Would they accept that one of their strongest gave up after the odds looked bad? A Tenno's odds are always bad! Hundreds of Grineer troops, dozens of Corpus machines, waves of Infested hordes, and a single Tenno still destroys them all. Again, the Lotus', no, Margulis' words came back to her. Dream, not of who you are, but of what you want to be.
"Then I'll be the best warrior, not because I'm strong, but because I'm a Tenno, and even the weakest of us don't look down on themselves," she said under her breath. If I can't encourage myself when the weakest of us can, then I'm no Tenno, just a poser. The thought angered her and solidified her drive.
She looked up. Gone was the dejected, defeated look in her eyes. In its place was the look of something Skye had lost a long time ago. Determination that wasn't there at Beacon, or even the days before her arrival. It was the determination of a Tenno who had found a new goal, a Tenno who found a true challenge.
"Alright then, what do we do now?" she said sharply. Qrow smirked, and the rest of the group smiled with apprehensive looks on their faces.
"We joined up with the kids earlier than I planned, but other than that, we're still headed to Mistral to see Professor Lionheart and hopefully he'll help us out with our mission."
"Hopefully?" Skye asked.
Qrow sighed, "Unfortunately the man isn't totally reliable, but Oz trusted him, so we don't have much of a choice. In the meantime, while we're out and about in the forest, I trust you can teach the kids some more?"
