Alright, we're a day early, but I don't care! I have some pretty nice chapters cooking, and I don't think any of you mind an early upload lol.

Erra reminds me of General Grievous but less mustache villain and more badass.

Enjoy!

The sky was redder than usual today, though Salem wasn't sure why. She watched through the window, and noticed that something was... off. The Grimm, normally aggressive and violent, were withdrawn, and shied away from the sky. She noticed them hiding under rocks, some trembling in fear.

Strange, she thought, the Grimm create fear, they don't bow down to it.

Then she heard something, mysterious chiming noise, like a chair was being pushed too quickly. Her black eyes narrowed, suspicious.

Suddenly, a small group of massive creatures landed outside, the force of the impact shattering the windows of the meeting room. There were seven creatures total, six of which floated mysteriously, a strange white glow coming from their bodies. The one in the center stood, and Salem's eyes widened in surprise. A feeling in her chest flared to life, a feeling she hadn't felt in centuries, uncertainty. She stepped outside, through one of the broken windows to examine the newcomers.

The creature was tall, almost twice her own height. It's legs were far too long to be human, it's torso shorter than its face was long. It's arms stretched down almost to it's ankles, ending in only two spindly fingers. It's back was hunched leading to a beaked head, with no eyes, only two empty spaces that you could see through. The back of his skull split into two decorative horns. Above the eye sockets, two brows moved, the only way it could express emotion. Both were pointed towards its beak, as if in anger, though Salem had a feeling that was what this creature felt most of the time. All of the monsters looked as though they were composed of the same bone-like material.

One glance and Salem knew that no matter how many more millennia she lived, she would never be able to create monsters as terrifying as these.

The legged one stepped towards her. She raised her hand, magic circles appearing in front of it, "That's far enough."

The creature tilted it's head as if intrigued, before continuing forward. Salem blasted him with enough magic to kick up a dust cloud big enough to cover her entire castle. And yet the creature continued it's approach until it stood only a few feet in front of her, leaning down to her height. It clicked strangely for a few moments, before, to her surprise, saying, "You have lived longer than anything I've seen." It's voice was rich, full, almost alive. But there was something missing in it, though she couldn't figure out what. It turned and walked away, surveying the red and black land.

"What are-"

"For an organic, you have lived nearly an eighth of my father's lifespan. I'm quite impressed," the creature mused.

Salem's eyes narrowed, "Why are you here? What are you?" The monster turned back towards her.

"Humans... ever so inquisitive. My name is Erra, one of the commanders of the Sentients. As for why I'm here, I was curious. Inhuman and unnatural lifeforms were found here on this new planet, and I wanted to see them for myself." Erra walked towards a cowering Beowulf, and reached out, touching the Grimm's skull-like head. The Beowulf whimpered in fear.

"However, while dropping here, I noticed a human presence. I believed that you had simply wandered here by accident, bad luck to you, until I scanned your vital signs. I noticed your heart beat irregularly, your blood moving at a crawl. Normally, you shouldn't even be alive, but here you were."
