Early-November 2024
I listened quietly as our manager listed out different times each of us had to remember. Either for recording or for individual training. All in all, I counted the longest period of consecutive sleep went to Jake, who was able to get five hours in total, at once, within the next two weeks. Most other days our sleep schedules were chopped up into smaller bites. Two hours here, four hours there, half an hour there.
"I think there's a mess up in recording times for No Doubt," I remarked with a small frown once the manager finally finished and looked over at me, "I usually wrap up the recording of a song. Why am I already off at ten tonight?"
"Because the schedule says so..." he slowly trailed off, looking as confused as I did.
"I changed our recording times," Jungwon excused and I frowned over at him, "I noticed your schedule was a bit packed this week. You'd need the sleep. I'm taking the late recording."
"Oh..." I slowly nodded, still trying to understand how my schedule could be more packed than Jungwon's. He was the leader after all and did occasionally have some meetings he had to participate in, which the rest of us didn't.
We continued with our dance practices for the remainder of the evening, the boys slowly dropping off as they had to go and record for the next album release in a week. For once I was the third to go recording and left the moment Jay had poked his head into the dance studio to let me know it was my turn now.
"I can wait until you finish recording," I murmured as I grabbed a cup of water in a small break.
"I switched our recording schedules so you could go home and get some sleep," Jungwon corrected in amusement and threw out his paper cup, "so you'll go home and sleep. Alright?"
I pursed my lips at him before gathering my things and leaving to go record. I ended up finishing before ten, and Sunoo had happily skipped down to record when I had gone to get him. He was clearly pleased at the notion of possibly going home earlier than expected. My time at home wasn't that interesting, I got washed up and went straight to bed. I did, however, put out Jungwon's clothes for when he got home. He usually placed my clothes outside the bedroom door, so that I didn't wake him up before I actually went to bed.
I must've been fast asleep I don't remember much else from the night. I only knew I had managed to sleep a few hours before a small sliver of light woke me up. I squinted my eyes open at it before noticing the small click of the door getting closed and darkness falling over the room again.
I let out a small sigh and rubbed my face with one hand that snuck out from under my duvet. Quietly I turned my back to the rest of the room once Jungwon put down his bag.
"I'm sorry I woke you up," he whispered and laid down in the bed as well. I hummed quietly, feeling him move some of my hair away and press a small kiss to the skin behind my ear, "are you alright?"
"Just tired," I murmured and pulled the duvet higher up.
"Me too," he murmured and snuggled into my back. I could only just sense his cheek pressing against my neck before he started breathing heavily. Out like a light.
Mid-November 2024
A loud knock woke me up, our manager calling for us to get up on the other side of the door. I wanted to just go straight back to sleep but forced myself to roll back onto my back, knowing how diligent Jungwon was with getting up when we were asked to.
Yet, he simply rolled onto his side to follow me onto my back. His arm immediately dropped over my stomach.
"Let's go," I murmured and sat up and rubbed my face before reaching over and grabbing my glasses and a hair tie from the top of the slim headboard, "Jungwon? You alright?"
