(in case you don't remember what this one shot was about, the basics of it were Bruce neglecting Dick. He'd forget to feed him, get him to school, make him go to bed at night, etc)

"Are you alright, Wally?" Megan asked as she helped the speedster up to his feet.

Wally sighed and rubbed his elbow where he'd hit it after Batman shoved him to the floor, "I'm fine, Miss M." He had a serious look to his face, "But I can't say the same for Bats next time I get my hands on him."

Kaldur laid a reassuring hand on the redhead's shoulder, "Do not worry, KF. We'll get Robin out of there."

Wally looked hesitant but nodded, "I know we will, Kaldur. Thanks, though."

Kaldur gave a small smile. He exhaled softly, turning to the other remaining team members, "We need to discuss ways to dissolve the situation without causing more harm. Does anyone have any ideas?"

Megan was first to pipe up, "We could ask Black Canary to talk to Batman?"

Wally chewed on his lip, "Robin specifically asked me not to tell her about this..."

Kaldur crossed his arms in a motherly way (typical mom-friend he was), "We may not have a choice in the end, Wally." He sighed deeply, "For now, however, there isn't much we can do. When Robin comes back, we'll try to have a calm discussion with him about it. If he still refuses help, we'll ask Canary to intervene."

The team all seemed to agree on this plan, which just left sitting around and waiting for their youngest member to return. They were all sprawled out across the living room couches when the silence just got to be too much. Wally flipped on the TV and, to all their surprises, there was Batman and Robin, mid-fight with half of the inmates in Arkham. There had, evidently, been a breakout.

"Jesus..." Artemis murmured, voices all of their thoughts. The battle was gruesome. Two heroes versus at least fifty insane criminals. It was... hard to watch.

"I can't believe he's been in fights like those since he was nine..." Megan furrowed her brow in sadness at the TV. "How is he still alive?"

Wally scoffed, eyes glued to his friend on the TV, "'Cause Batman used to care what happened to him. He'd never let Rob go out in something like that. He'd sooner call the League for help than put Robin in excessive danger."

Conner looked confused, "So one person dying changed all that? How?"

Wally frowned, looking down at his hands, "Agent A wasn't just a person. He was like Batman's dad... Robin's grandfather. He was the glue that held their family together. Without him, they just... fell apart, I guess."

The team exchanged sad looks.

"Why didn't Robin say anything?" Megan asked softly.

Wally chewed on his lip, thinking of the best way to phrase his answer. "Do you... remember last November when Rob just- went missing for like three weeks?"

His friends nodded.

"That was when Agent A died. He didn't want to show weakness in front of you guys so he just... disappeared instead."
