"Wow," Jason started dryly, rolling his eyes at his father as he took a sip of his coffee and prepared to head out, "is it 'adopt a new son' season already? Gosh... it always comes around so fast."

Bruce chuckled, used to Jason's antics, "Maybe this time I'll get one with blonde hair."

Jason snorted, "We both know you won't."

Bruce grinned down into his coffee with an amused sigh, "Don't you have a felony to be committing somewhere?"

"Don't you have a sidekick to be adopting somewhere?" Jason shot back.

Bruce exhaled sharply, eyes crinkling with contained laughter as he looked up and met his son's turquoise eyes, "Where'd you learn to be such an asshole?"

Jason pursed his lips and shrugged, "I dunno. Probably the same person I get all my daddy issues from."

Bruce chuckled, looking back down at the dark-brown, murky liquid in his coffee cup that read World's Best Batman (courtesy of Tim, of course), "You're really on a roll today, aren't you?"

Jason smirked, looking quite proud of himself, "I mean... you said it, not me."

Bruce laughed as he folded his newspaper back into its original form and stood up, "Humble as always, I see." He handed his empty coffee mug to Alfred, then proceeded towards the door, only stopping to lay a hand on his eldest's shoulder and say, "You better not be late tonight, Jay. I want you to be here to meet your new brother."

Jason held his hands up defensively, "When, in the million times it's happen, have I not been here to greet a new sibling?"

Bruce stared dryly into his son's eyes, "You didn't even know I adopted Tim until he'd been here over a month."
