Four hours had passed since Dick told Wally about what Bruce had said to him. The younger boy was still holed up in his room, but Wally, on the other hand, was out raising hell in any way he could.

He hadn't been too specific with the team about what had happened, but he told them Robin would be living in the mountain from now on. He'd called several members of the League and told them to hurry over. And he'd snuck into the Batcave when he was sure Bruce wasn't there and collected all of Dick's things (he may have left some graffiti and tp but that's neither here nor there).

"Recognized: Flash 04, Superman 01, Black Canary 13, Wonder Woman 03."

The team of superheroes rushed into the living room where their protégés were huddled together on the couch.

"Wally? What's going on?" Flash asked somewhat worriedly. "You said it was an emergency. Is everyone okay?"

Wally stood up and greeted his uncle with a tight hug.

"Whoa-" Barry looked down in surprise as it wasn't often Wally made physical contact due to past encounters with his father (well, except when it came to Dick, of course. He'd always give the kid the love and connection he needed).

"I know I don't say it a lot," Wally murmured, voice muffled by it being buried in Barry's chest, "but thank you for taking care of me."

Now Barry was really concerned. "Y- yeah, 'course, kid. But what's going on? Did something happen?"

Wally finally pulled away and looked up at his uncle with big puppy eyes. He just nodded and began to pull the older man down the hallway, motioning for the other Leaguers to come as well.

They didn't stop until they reached a door Barry knew as Robin's.

"Did something happen to Dick?" Barry asked worriedly. "Is he okay?"

Wally just wordlessly opened the door, revealing the heart-wrenching sight of Dick Grayson crying his eyes out on his bed, body shaking with emotion.

"Dickie!" Diana rushed into the room, getting into the bed and pulling the boy into her arms. "What's wrong? Are you okay?"

When Dick couldn't stop crying long enough to muster out an answer, Wally did it for him. "Bats disowned him."

"What?!" all four Leaguers turned around to face the fifteen-year-old.

"Are you sure, Wally?" Dinah asked with a furrowed brow. "That doesn't seem like something he would do."

"Yeah," Clark said with a concerned crease between his eyebrows. "Bruce loves Dick."

Wally scoffed, "Are you guys fucking blind? He's been neglecting Dickie for months. Last night he told Rob he was more trouble than he's worth— just 'cause the kid could hardly stand up straight after Bats had him fighting for three days straight!"

Barry (as well as his teammates) stared at the redhead with wide-eyes. "That can't be true. We would've noticed."

"Really?" Wally questioned. He turned to Dick, "Can you pull the footage from Tuesday afternoon up on your hologlove?"

Dick nodded, whimpering as he pulled his arm out of the tight grip Diana had on him and began to type. Soon, a video was projected up for the four Leaguers to see. It showed Bruce dragging Robin out of the Mountain despite the team's efforts to stop him. It even showed Bats shoving Wally back onto the floor— much to Barry's anger.

"He hit you, Wally?!"

Wally nodded.

"Why didn't you say anything?! About any of this?!"

"I- I asked him not to," Dick piped up softly. He chewed at his lip, looking down at his socked feet as the adults stared at him. "I didn't- I didn't want you guys to be mad at Bruce or- or take me away from him."

"Oh, Dickie..." Diana tightened her grip on the boy, running her perfectly manicured nails through his raven hair that was still dirty and bloody from the fights. "You could've talked to us. We would've found a way to help you."

Dick's tears started up again as he buried his head into Diana's uniform. She softly shushed him and rubbed circles on his back.

"C'mon," Wally nodded towards the door. "Let's talk outside." The heroes (excluding Diana and Dick) followed the teenager out into the hallway where they immediately began to ask questions.

"How long has this been going on?"
"Has he physically hurt Dick?"
"Why is Bruce doing this?"
"Does Bruce know where Dick is?"

Wally sighed before answering their questions one-by-one, "Eight months; no; you're gonna have to ask him that; and not that I'm aware of, but he probably hasn't even looked."

The three older heroes exchanged frowns.

"So this is why you've been having him stay over so often?" Barry asked with a sad expression. "You were trying to protect him?"

Wally nodded, "Bruce wouldn't feed him, take him to school, let him get any rest. Dickie made me promise not to tell you guys but he didn't stop me from helping him when I could."

Barry sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose before meeting Wally's gaze with a proud sadness, "You did good, Walls, okay? I'm so proud of you for being a good friend to Dick. I just- I wish we'd known earlier. We could've found a way to stop it."

Wally looked guiltily at the ground, "Me and Dickie both thought you'd take him away if we said something. He— we— were terrified you'd send him back to the orphanage..."

This time, the heroes exchanged a guilty look.

"You really think we'd do that?" Dinah asked.

Wally shrugged timidly, "I mean... look at Dick in there. A year ago, Bats would've killed anyone to hurt his kid like that. But, now... he's the cause of it. You never know when you can trust somebody these days. We were just trying to be careful."

Dinah nodded solemnly, "It's alright, Wally. We understand. But we're gonna help you both now, okay? And, I promise, there will be no orphanages or sending Dick away. For now, however, it might be best if Dickie lives with one of us— just so he can have the constant parental support he needs. I don't think living here with three emotionally inexperienced teens is going to help him heal all that much."

Clark and Barry nodded in agreement.

"So who's he gonna live with?" Wally asked

Dinah and Clark looked to Barry. "Well..." the Kryptonian started slowly, "it would be best if Barry would be willing to take him in... considering how close he is with you, Wally."

Barry immediately jumped at the idea, "Really?! I can keep him?!-" he cleared his throat, "er- i mean, I'll call Iris and talk it out with her."

Wally grinned and threw his arms around the older speedster, "Thank you so much, Uncle Barry!"

Barry smiled endearingly down at his nephew and ruffled his red hair, "Sure, kid. Now, let's go try to talk your Aunt Iris into it, huh?"

Wally nodded fast even for a speedster and drug Barry off to take a phone call that would, undoubtedly, end in their favor.

Clark and Dinah shared a smile before reentering the young acrobat's room to find Diana cradling Dick in her arms on the bed, said boy seeming half asleep and half in the middle of a low-grade panic attack. Diana was shushing the boy to slow his breathing and rocking him gently.

"Is he okay?" Clark asked softly.

Diana looked up at the heroes with a sad expression, "I don't know..."
