Lexi’s POV
Achoo - it’s cold, it’s cold. One thing I do love about the winter is that I can snuggle into duvets or a fluffy blanket. To help keep me warm outside, I’ve been wearing the scarf Shido gave me for Christmas and I can see every time I wear it, he has this certain grin.
“Hey Lexi, what do you want for your birthday this year?” dad asked me one morning at breakfast. I looked up from the traditional Japanese breakfast that Altan made to answer him.
Oh yeah some things have happened since New Year - Altan stayed over with Batb from time to time and Altan decided to make breakfast for us this morning. Also, Kayla moved out and is now officially staying with Aki. That’s certainly would be entertaining each morning.
Anyway back to what my dad asked and I thought about the question, “Maybe a new rugby ball or some cleats?”.
“Oh come on Lexi, surely there's something else you would like?” dad insisted. Honestly there wasn’t. I can pretty much buy what I would like with my own money as I have a nice little savings account from what I earned from the rugby games and there isn’t anything that springs to mind that would be a nice gift.
“Well, have a think about it okay Lexi-chan? We only have a couple weeks until your birthday and I’m sure your dad wants to spoil you” Altan said pointing to the sulking the adult.
“Okay Altan-san, I’ll have a think about it”, I anwsered before finishing breakfast and heading to the university for morning training with the rugby team. Since New Year began, I’ve been training with the university a lot more, especially with the up and coming year’s schedule of camps and tournaments. Saki has been in charge of over-seeing morning practice at school in my stead, as Kayla would just cause more problems. Saki would note down everything and then she would inform me of what happened in training to allow me to put together the training schedules.
At lunch, we were sitting in the classroom when the usual gang came barrelling in with Saki leading the charge for once, “Lexi-chan, it’s your birthday soon and you have no plans or presents you want?” she shouts at me. I cringe and look at the culprit who blabbed to everyone, “I see Batb-kun, has told everyone about it already”.
“Yeah, I did Lexi-chan because we all want to celebrate your birthday” he pouts. He can be quite cute at times, probably because I see him as my younger brother now. “Honestly guys, I don’t need anything special. Just going for some food with everyone is enough”, I smiled at them.
“Lexi-chan, coach wants to see you about the training schedule” Tsuchi, a member of the club, called out. “Okay. Alright guys I’m going to see coach and don’t worry about my birthday” I said as I walked out after giving Shido a peck on the lips.

Kayla sighed, “She’s always like this. So what have you guys bought her?”
