Chapter 13 - Forgiveness

I've prepared for today with all those hours of reviewing their play style. It was time to put my knowledge into action.

I just wish that this heavy feeling in my heart wasn’t there. 

I slap my cheeks to regain focus and get into position ready for kick off. 

"HAUKORU. HAKUROU. HAKUROU".

I hear a chant I'm familiar with and look up to stands.

Lexi’s POV

What the hell are they doing here? The entire Hakurou sumo club was standing there in their uniforms.

I can see Shin and Batb flaying there arms about to get me to notice them and Aki is trying to stop them. Masomi, standing there with a smile on his face and Saki was holding a little England flag. And there he is. Standing right at the centre of these loud, spectacular boys.

Shido locked gazes with mine before holding up a sign that I could easily read. 'I'M SORRY' it had written on it in English. I felt a tear roll down my cheek.

“Looks like he’s seen the error of his ways Lexi. It’s kind of adorable” Sky said next to me. I wiped away the tear before smiling at Shido “Yeah. He is adorable and I wouldn’t have him any other way” and raised my fist in the air before shouting "HAKUROU". I saw Shido smile before I turned back to the field and I could see my team smiling at me. “Let’s do this”.

I feel that a massive weight has been lifted and I'm more focused then I have been before.

Breath in, breath out. Let the game begin. 

Tennoji's POV

It was the day of Lexi’s game and I was nervous. Lexi didn't call or text me this week and neither did I text or call her. I wanted to give her some space as she needs to focus on this game coming up. The team have been supportive and were confident that this will be sorted by today. I even did something to prepare for this which is safely tucked in my bag. 

"Right everyone. Lets go" the coach says as he leads us on to the bus and to the stadium. Upon arrival, you could already feel the excitement of the crowd and along the hallways to the seats there were banners of each player from both teams. I stopped when I came to the banner with Lexi’s picture on. The picture caught her mid-motion running with the ball. The fierce glint in her eyes was amazing and it reminded me that each and every time I see that glint, that she was a tigress waiting to pounce. 

A smile tugged at me lips. "Come on brother" Saki interrupted my daydreaming. "Let’s go to our seats". I followed Saki as we walked along the corridor, I happened to notice that Lexi wasn’t the only female player on the team. This one was about the smae age as us with white blonde hair and grey eyes. She looked no less imposing than Lexi did and I have no doubt she was just as talented. Before long we were all settled in our seats, ready to watch the game. 

"What are you doing here?" I heard Enoki exclaim. I looked over and saw Eiga High-school were seated next to us. 

"What's it you?" Sawai snapped.
