“Oh by the way which school is it we’re going to? I’m saying one thing and dad is saying another. We have twenty quid riding on the correct answer”.
“Oh” gramps replied “The school is Tottori Hakurou High School”.
“Hah. I win. You owe me twenty quid dad”
“Goddammit”.

* English
* JapaneseThe month has passed by so quickly. I look around the house that has been my home since birth and I wondered if I will come back here.
Quite a nostalgic feeling.Anyway, everything has been packed up and shipped over in advance. My team was upset I was leaving, but they understood and made a pact that we will compete again with each other. It is sad, but a new chapter of my life awaits for me.
“Come on Lexi. It’s time to head to the airport”. I turn to see my dad standing by the front door. “Okay let’s do this”.
At the airport there was a lot of water works. I’m not talking about burst pipes or anything, though I think even if there was, there wouldn’t be this much water. I’m talking about the guys from my team sobbing their hearts out and causing a scene. Don’t get me wrong, it means a lot to me that they are here to see me off, but I have to say it's getting embarrassing having a group of big arse men crying like toddlers.
‘Calling flight A259 to Tokyo please head to gate 18’.
“Well guys this it. I’m off” I said to them with my own tears in my eyes.
“Promise to call us whenever you want”
“Face time us when you can”
“Any boy messes with you, we’ll crush them”.
“GUYS COOL IT” Tyler shouts. He walks towards me and gives me a hug. “Good luck out there little tigress. Come back stronger” he whispers.
“I promise” I whisper back with the tears now rolling down my cheeks. Sky then replaces Tyler and hugs me "Promise me, you'll be happy. I'll head out to Japan one day and we will train together again". The tears were coming down faster now. "I promise Sky. I look forward to it". I pull back and look at the guys.
“I’ll miss you all. See you soon”. And that’s when I turned around with a smile and headed towards the gate with my dad.
Towards our new life.
A 'Hobbit' marathon later and a good snooze in between, we finally land in Tokyo in the morning. It takes some time to get from Tokyo to where we were now living, which was only a 20 minute walk from the Tottori Hakurou school and about 40 minutes from the university I will be training with. So not a bad location. Gramps was there at the house to meet us and shows us around. I must admit I like it- a three bedroom house with a garden and near a park with some good running routes. Plus the price was cheaper than I imaged. Can’t complain people.
After choosing my bedroom upstairs at the front of the house and placing my stuff inside, I was antsy. Might be because I haven’t trained today or yesterday. I don’t know. The flight mucked up my body clock system and right now I need to train. I got changed into my workout gear which is just some shorts and a t-shirt. I picked up a big tackle bag, my work out bag with some smaller equipment inside, water, snacks and towel; and went downstairs.
“Dad, gramps” I shouted “I’m heading to the park for a while to train. I’ll see you later”. I heard from somewhere inside the house “Okay” and “See you later”. I headed towards the park nearby and was getting some weird looks from passer-by’s. Whether it was because I was carrying a big tackle bag or because I was foreign, I don’t know and really, I don’t care.
