Then the announcement everyone has been waiting for was broadcasted:
‘Ladies and gentlemen, the National Competition is now officially open. Please can all wrestlers be ready for their bouts’.

No one’s POV
The competition started and the energy from the crowd and the wrestlers was high from the beginning.
Bout after bout was fought for the individual competition and Lexi definitely felt the higher intensity than last year. Probably because it was the last year for some of the team, but it could also have been due to many National Treasures competing at one time.
Currently, the Hakurou team were watching Hinomaru win another bout from the side lines as it was nearly time for Tennoji’s bout. “So Onimaru is truly back, huh?” Tennoji mused out loud.
“Told you he was and he’s looking in pretty good form too”, Lexi said, not taking her eyes off Hinomaru.
“Seems he really did invest three years into training. His patience is admirable”, Tennoji says as he passes Saki his towel before walking towards the ring still talking, “but he won’t beat me as long as he has that look on his face. Then again, he’s not the only one aiming to. Time to meet my challengers in the ring and defend my title”. Lexi was walking alongside him, just letting him talk. Not wanting to disturb his concentration.
Tennoji stopped just before entering the ring and touches his forehead with Lexi. He looks deeply into her eyes and knows he will win.
He steps into the ring as the commentator announces the two wrestlers:
“On the west side – Hayashi. On the east side – Tennoji”.
The aura around Tennoji seemed to flicker and flare up. His opponent, Hayashi, was breathing heavily at having to spar with someone like Tennoji Shido right at the beginning of the competition.
“Spirit”
Tennoji charges forward and railroads Hayashi out of the ring.
“The bout is decided”, the referees announces, “East side wins”.
Tennoji walks back to his side of the ring, smirking, leaving a baffled Hayashi on the side of the ring.
Of course, all other promising wrestlers present watched the bout and made their own comments towards Hakurou’s latest win.
Kita High:
“I’m going to enjoy putting an end to Hakurou’s reign”, Hikage promised.
Aizawa looked at the giant and questioned, “Even if it upsets Lexi-chan?”.
Hikage looked at Lexi, who smiled up at Tennoji, before answering, “Even then”.
Eiga High:
Shun smirked up at Kuze, “What do you think? Can you beat him, Sosuke?”
Kuze stared at Tennoji with conviction, “If I had any doubt, I wouldn’t be here”.
