Lexi’s POV

It’s been a roller-coaster of a time since the boys registered at the association and things have been interesting since.

That September after the sign in’s, the guys competed officially making their debut. Shido dominated most of it and even Ozeki hung on well. The one who worried me was Ushio. He went up against the 12th seat of the eastern Maegashira – Juzunaru Tsunetsugu. The end result was devastating. Ushio ended being injured really badly and forced to sit on the side lines for a while. It’s been three and half years since then and he certainly made his come back and reached the Sekitori level with Sae-san. 

Shido has officially taken the name Dojikiri and surprise, surprise he’s reached the title of Ozeki. My man is certainly good at what he does. I’m really the only one who calls him by Shido any more just because of how long we’ve been together. It would be weird to change it now. 

That’s not the only change since the registration that happened.

**Flashback 2 years ago**

It was the end of the season for all wrestlers and luckily it corresponded with a break from university. The course had one more year before drawing to an end and I was already given the position to take care of the wrestlers at the Nagato stable. 

I headed over to the stable and was immediately pulled into training. That’s right. I still train with the guys from time to time and my rugby career has been going well.

We recently won the World Championship and Japan reached the finals this year. Many of the boys I met with Sky reached their goal of being on the team, so we fulfilled that promise from years ago, about going all out for the win. They did really well and it was funny seeing Sky running down the field with the biggest smile of her face. Guess she wanted to play against them with no restraint for a long time. 

Anyway, back to the Nagato stable. After training ended for the day, Shido said that he was treating us to dinner and took us to our favourite store, which sell the best ramen around. We’ve eaten at this place so much that we’re on first name basis with the owner. 

“Welcome. Oh, Dojikiri-zeki and Lexi-chan, come on in. I’ll bring the saki over in a bit”, Haru called out.

“Thanks Haru-san. Appreciate it”, I waved back. We sat down and before long the food and drinks were served.

Yummy yummy. I do love this place.

We were making causal conversation until Shido looked up quite determined and moved to kneel down in front of me. I started to have a mild panic attack before he started speaking, “Lexi, from the day I saw you and the passion in your eyes, I was yours. Ever since then, I have loved you and everyday I fall that more in love with you. You once moved your entire life to Japan for your dad and then you moved again for me. I am thankful to the sumo gods that they lit the way for us to be together. I once made a promise under the cherry blossoms to my little tigress and I always keep my promises. Lexi will you marry me and start a family with me?” holding out a ring to me.
