A second loss means there is going to be a championship play-off and the chance to change Jinou’s mind.
Only those wrestlers with identical scores will be in the play-offs.
This year there is four:
Jinou, Saenoyama, Ookanehira and Onimaru.

Final day and Lexi was pacing up and down; biting her finger in nervousness and anticipation.
The final battles were about to begin.
Jinou vs Ookanehira from the Asahigawa Stable
Onimaru vs Saenoyama from the Shibakiyama Stable
Due to how stable life is and how much the wrestlers are more or less family to each other; it’s very rare that wrestlers from the same stable will compete against each other in a main tournament. However; this unspoken guidance is null and void when it comes to playoffs in championship tournaments.
Currently, Lexi was in this predictament as Jinou and Ookanehira were sparring and after receiving a phone call from the hospital to say that Kayla was having contractions; was giving the poor girl indigestion.
“Please calm down kitten”; Dojikiri says grabbing his wife to halt her pacing and to prevent a trail being tread in the floor; “Aki is a National Treasure too; so he’ll hold his own”.
Lexi shook her head; “It’s not that. Kayla’s in hospital with contractions; but they seem to be early on. She made me promise not to say anything to Aki-san until this day is over with. I don’t if I should say something or not”.
Dojikiri held Lexi close; seeing the difficult situation she was in; “It’ll be fine. You’ve promised her and she is a very strong woman to not say anything knowing that this tournament is important”. Dojikiri turns to look towards Ookanehira; “because he is going to need all the focus he can for this bout”.
In the ring, Ookanehira and Jinou are locked in an arm hold; with Ookanehira using every effort he can to push Jinou towards the end of the ring. However; no matter how much he tries Jinou grabs Ookaniehira’s inner thigh and throws him out of the ring.
“Winner is Jinou”; the referee declares as the Yokozuna walks out of the ring; moving that one step closer to retaining his title.
Ookanehira stands up; feeling defeated by the way the bout went. As he left for the stables warm up room; he is stopped by Jinou’s wife. “I’ve never really thanked you”; she says looking up at Ookanehira.
Ookanehira looks back at her slightly confused; causing the Yokozun’a wife to laugh; “You see what you don’t know is that when you are constantly challenging the Yokozuna; he always comes home with a smile”. Ookanehira was taken aback; not realising how significant he truly was at the stable.
“Oh, before I go”; she says; “Lexi-chan, Dojikiri’s wife, said to pass on the message that Kayla’s contractions started and she said to not worry until she calls when your child is really on the way”. Ookanehira feels a solid weight sucker punch him in the gut as he watches the Yokozuna’s wife walk away.
