"In third place - Kanazawa Kita. In second place - Eiga High School and this year's winners and National Champions Tottori Hakurou".

The boys stood proud and tall when the crowd cheered for them.

'That's my boys' Lexi thought before making a vow 'this is just one chapter of your lives as sumo wrestlers and I promise, I'll be there every step of the way with you'.

Lexi's POV

After the tournament life returned to a slower, more normal pace. Aki was recovering well and thankfully it turned out the injury wasn't as bad as it looked.

The school made a big thing about the team winning the National Championships and allowed the club to have a bigger budget. Which means new equipment - Yay.

Not a bad way to end the school term.

Summer break was just around the corner, which usually would mean beach, sun and fun.

Yeah, not.

"This year's training camp will be near to the beach and the mountains to build up our strength and endurance" everyone's jaws dropped at the announcement from the coach. "Plus the England rugby team will be joining us so you can learn from each other", oh fantastic - more bad news. Tyler better not cause any problems otherwise I'm going to bury him in the mountains.

The training camp begins next week so there is a lot to prepare. The last thing I expected, when I went home one night before the trip was seeing my dad at home dressed very smart?

Hang on, he never dresses up.

This could mean two things - business dinner or a date.

If it's the latter, that would be a miracle. I sneak up behind him as he was trying to sort out his tie, "Hot date?" I whisper in his ear, which causes him to scream and face me. "Lexi, don't do that" he scolds.
"What? You were so preoccupied with doing your tie that you never heard me walk in. So what's on your mind? You're only like this when you're nervous about something" I explain as I fixed his tie. How the hell did he manage to make it into a bow?

"Yeah. I am nervous and you're right, I am going on a date"....knew it....
"So who's the lucky lady?" I asked.

My dad starts to blush and had a small smile on his face, "She's the school's nurse and a parent to one of the students. She came to watch us in the finals despite her son not being in the rugby team. When I asked her about it, she said she already watched her son's team win and kept her promise to watch us. After we won she asked me out to dinner".

Hhhmmmm. Looks like dad has a crush on her.

Oh yeah, the rugby team also became National Champions because of dad's coaching, so the school was very happy with his performance and have given him the full time job as a coach.

Though, there is one thing I still want to know as I finished his tie "Its obvious you have a crush on the woman and no doubt she has a crush on you, otherwise she wouldn't have travelled from one venue to another just to keep a promise. So why do you look unsure on something?"

Dad turned his head to look at our last family picture with mum. He sighed "I feel like I might be betraying your mother. I haven't been on a date with anyone else since I met her and I vowed to love her forever. But here I am, getting ready for a date with another woman".
