Chapter 59 - Conversation

“Good”, Lexi says as she kisses him, “because I can’t have you moping around the house for too long otherwise I’ll go insane”.

Dojikiri laughs and holds Lexi close. He knew that she was worried for him and didn’t want him to fight but she knows that she can’t stop him. More than anything he is grateful that she is standing by him. After all, tomorrow’s bout is the one he has been looking forward to the most.

Lexi's POV

Stubborn.

**Flashback**

No matter how much I want him to not be injured further, the odds are not good. When we woke up this morning, I iced his knee again and strapped it up for him before we headed to the arena. Even then, it still wasn’t enough. Shido was limping, and in the dressing room, I stood with gramps as the team gathered around him.

“Just give me a pain relief injection and tape it up”, he said.

“Pushing yourself too hard will only shorten your life as a wrestler”, Tsuji argued.

“You know this tournament is important. I can’t miss it”, he counters.

“But taking a break is important too”, Ozeki said, “In this condition, you wouldn’t be able to stand any thrusts”.

Shido smirked, “That just means I shouldn’t let them do that. Beside I’m facing him today..... Onimaru. I have lots to talk about with him in the ring”.

**End of flashback**

I’m currently pouting in the stands as I watch Aki beat Tenma in quite a risky move.

“YEAH GO ON AKI”, Kayla shouts from next to me.

“Well, it’s good to see the bounce back in your step”, I say with a smirk.

“How could I not? Aki was sweet last night and all the fighting seems to be behind us now”, she reminisces with a blush heating her cheeks. Oooooh, it looks like the girl got some loving last night.

“Well I’m glad. Now I just need to deal with my own headache”, I say with a sigh as I watch Shido approach the ring.

“Wow so many people came to see me today”, I hear him say with his signature smirk, “Well, let’s show everyone my sumo”. I want to throttle the man. Everyone is looking at the taped knee and wondering why he was here. Only the wrestlers who have fought with Shido for years know that it was because of who he’s opponent was for today.

Dojikiri vs Onimaru.

“He’s still the same old Shido”, Kayla says sweat dropping at the man’s entrance.

“Yep and he knows what’s good for him, he better watch himself out there or he’ll have me to deal with”, I say feeling my eye starting to twitch.

“HANDS ON THE GROUND”, the referee calls out. The guys crouch and wait for the command.

“SPIRIT” and of course I can see the glee Shido has on his face; which means he will be going all out.

Looking towards Ushio; it seems that they both feel the same way about this bout. The joy to fight all out.

No one’s POV

Dojikiri slams in with a forearm charge; hitting Onimaru in the face. But Onimaru doesn’t let this faze him and continues to push forwards; connecting a palm strike to Dojikiri’s chest.
