Chapter 20 - National Champions Part 1

I felt a hand on my head then and looked up seeing Shido standing in front of me smiling. I lifts me into his arms so that I am eye level with him, almost like I was sitting on his arms. “Say that again?”

I paused for a moment before smiling through my tears “Shido I love you”. “Lexi. I love you too. Be my girlfriend?” he asked. I chuckled “Yes with all my heart” and that was when he kissed me on the lips in front of everyone.

It was certainly a romantic moment, until my awareness came back and I remembered that we were in a stadium full of spectators and other wrestlers. I looked around and heard people cheering and whistling.
Oh crap. I felt my face burning bright red and I was looking for a rock to hide under before Shido carried me to where the rest of team were and placed me down.

“Once the ceremony is done, we have to call your dad. Then me and you will spend time together” he said.
“Okay”, I answered almost as if in a daze.

Shido walked off to the ring to be awarded the title of High School Yokozuna, whilst I got tackled by Kayla and Saki. “That was so hot Lexi. So now it’s official that you’re together. Remember to name your child after me”, Kayla nudged me.
“Kayla-chan, it’s a bit early to think about that” Saki then turned to me, “Remember to make me your maid of honour at the wedding sister”, Saki smiled at me.

Come on girls, I think I’m going to faint from what they were saying. 

After the ceremony, we headed back to the hotel. Kayla stayed with Aki and I saw them hiding in a corner making out. You go girl. Wonder if Aki asked her to be his girlfriend or if she was comforting him? I headed towards Shido’s room to make the phone call to my dad about his promise. I knocked on the door and Shido answered wearing a yukata.

Jeez his so sexy. ‘Lexi stop thinking dirty thoughts’.

“Come on in Lexi-chan. Aki’s out at the moment”, he moved to one side and I replied, “Oh I know he’s out. I just saw him with Kayla making out”, I chuckled as I walked into the room. I sat on one of the chairs with Shido sitting in the other one. I took my phone out and called my dad putting him on loud speaker. 

“Hello sweetie” he answers in English. “Hey dad. Just wanted to call you as the individual tournament is done. Shido-san is here with me”.

Shido then spoke, “Hello sir”.

“Oh hello Tennoji-san. How did it go then?” I smiled at Shido to encourage him to tell my dad. “I defended my title as the High School Yokozuna. I have kept my promise. Please may I receive your blessings to date your daughter?”
We started to hear a chuckle on the other end of the line “You certainly are an unusual young man. I never would have thought that you would call me to personally let me know. Very well. I give you my full blessings to date my daughter. You hurt her and you remember what I said last time”.
You could almost feel the menacing aura coming through the phone. “Yes sir” Shido sweat dropped and I giggled at this. “Well done for today and good luck with the team tournament. I’ll see you when you get back, bye” and the line went dead. 

I looked at the phone a bit surprised. Well that went a lot better than I thought. I looked at Shido who had a very satisfied smile on his face. He stood up and walked over to me before picking me up and walking over to the bed.
He lays me down on the bed and hovers over me. The way he was over me allowed me the view of seeing his bare chest peeking out from his yukata. My prayers have been answered.
