I smiled because she looked happy just thinking about him. “I’m happy you found someone Sky, so when you make it official we need to have a double date”.

No one’s POV

The next day the teams were put through their paces by Jack and to say that he was as brutal as Komori was saying something. By midday, the boys were on the ground trying to gather enough strength to stand back up, whilst Lexi and Sky were standing off to one side chuckling.

Lexi walked over to where Gion, Miyuki and Iwashimizu were. “Gion-kun, you alright bud?” Lexi asked. “Yeah, I’m fine Senpai. I need to get better and train with you” Gion panted and tried to stand up, but fell back down to the ground again. “Gion-kun, take it easy. You’re probably not used to this training” she pleaded with him to stay on the ground for a bit before he hurt himself.

“Listen to Lexi-senpai, Gion” Miyuki said, “She’s the expert here”.
“He’s right Gion. Lexi-senpai and Sky-senpai are the best, so they have been through this training multiple times no doubt” Iwashimizu panted out. “I can’t just stay laying here tree trunk. I need to get better and be a good flanker to win with the team”, he huffed out. Lexi smiled at the committed Gion showed.

‘He definitely has the heart for the sport’ she thought.

Lexi held out her hand to Gion. He looked at her hand before taking it and she pulled him to his feet, making sure he didn’t lose balance. “Gion-kun, to be a good flanker or even a good player takes a lot of work. It’s about knowing the game and knowing your opponents. You’ve only been practising for a couple of months. I’ve been at it since I was four years old, practising alongside my dad. That’s quite a difference” Lexi started. Gion and the rest of the players were listening and starting to sit up waiting for her to continue, “but I like you and your fellow teammates. I think you have what it takes to be a good player. Technique and tactics are good to have, however the core to a good player is the heart they have. If you practise with the goal of wanting to play to win with your team, to work together to reach the top and refuse to quit, then you’re already half way there”. Lexi’s speech seemed have hit home to rest of the players as they were able to stand with determination flickering in their eyes. Gion was smiling so wide he was about to burst. Sky picked up a lone rugby ball, stood next to Lexi and pointed it to the players, “We’ll go through some things for each player of the teams, after all we want to see you guys wearing the Japanese colours on the field against us one day and play all out for the win” Sky smirked knowing this would ignite the flame within them.

“YOSH”

The boys the turned to the coaches and bowed, “PLEASE COACH. ONE MORE TIME?”

The coaches shook their heads. How two young girls could get entire teams of bull headed rugby players to continue on despite being on their last legs is a miracle. “Alright” Jack shouted smiling. His daughter has certainly matured, “Let’s continue”.

By early evening, even the girls were feeling tired. Dinner time was another loud event with Gion scriberling down notes from Lexi along with Ise Natsuki, Hyosu Shinisuke and Kasuga Hirokuni. Lexi managed to excuse herself after an hour and headed over to where Sky was with Sekizan, Taira, Hachiouji, Miyuki and Iwashimizu were sitting.“Hey Lexi, I see you managed to get away from the interrogation”, Sky said laughing at the predicament Lexi was in. “Ha ha very funny” she sulked as she sat down, “If those boys were around the time of the Spanish Inquisition more people would have confessed”.
