Nami got to her apartment around six o'clock. Hidan wouldn't be home for another five hours. She knocked on Genma's door and was invited in.
"Hello Nami. Welcome to my latte master class."
"Thank you so much Genma!"
The two quickly got to work and Nami got the steps down after two tries. She was ecstatic after perfectly the latte so quickly. As she went to open up a box of coco powder, the top broke and splattered everywhere in Genma's kitchen and on them. They both had the fine power in their hair and clothes. Nami sighed while Genma burst out laughing.
"I am so sorry!"
They both grabbed the same towel to start cleaning up the mess. Simultaneously, they touched hands and Genma took the opportunity to close the space between them. He touched her hair and lightly brushed her cheek.
"That was adorable."
"W – why do they make the lids so poorly?"
"I think they make the lids just fine."
Genma's face got closer to hers. She placed her hand on his chest and gently pushed him back slightly.
"Genma. I don't want to lead you on. I am seeing someone right now."
"Yeah I would hope so. Your eyes are open and you're looking right at me," Genma scratched the back of his head and stepped back.
"I'm really sorry that I gave off the impres – "
"No, I'm sorry. Landlord – tenant relations are regulated. I would like to remain friends though?"
Nami nodded. Genma did his best to make the rest of their time together not awkward. He was screaming internally at the fact that he basically friend-zoned himself. They cleaned up the kitchen and did their best to clean themselves up before heading their separate ways.
Nami headed downstairs to her unit. Just as she reached the third floor, Hidan was reaching his unit. He rushed to her, picking her up and swirling her around and kissing her passionately.
"Why do you smell so sweet?" he asked in between kisses.
"Coco powder. Genma taught me how to make a latte for Sakura."
"Interesting. But not as interesting as the clean-up will be."
Nami led Hidan inside her apartment where she still only got an hour of sleep.
