Vince Matthew Veronimo's Point of View
They said first love is the hardest type of love to be thrown away. Why? Don't ask me, because I don't know too.
"Ate, I still have my jetlag. Why would you drag me here?" I asked, holding my head.
Yeah, Ate Xyle's so heartless. Just after the hours we spent riding that airplane she already pulled me somewhere I don't know where. But it turns out that we just enrolled in a university that she says was owned by Marra's family. And, I also had my test with the volleyball's team's coach, and I passed the test.
"Tanga ka kasi, sabi nang matulog muna kanina para matanggal 'yong sakit ng ulo mo, tapos hindi ka natulog! Ayan, wala ka tuloy'ng energy." She was about to hit my nape but I immediately covered it.
"Stop it, my head hurts so badly " I whispered and just put my headphones on. I played some songs from my favorite band when I heard her spoke.
"Kilala mo naman mga kaibigan ko, 'di ba?" she asked. I pretended not to hear it.
But to answer her question, yes. I already know them. Sa daldal ni Ate, I am not sure if I wouldn't know them. I know Ate Shantelle, I already saw her many times whenever Ate's doing video calls with her. Well, she's pretty and simple, unlike my sister. She's cute in some ways and sexy as well---do I sound like a perv? Sorry for that but she really is.
Next is Eycee, she's my friend. I saw her in person countless times whenever she's attending some events in States, she will always see my Ate and I would have to go with her because she needs a companion. Well, Eycee's good, maarte, mataray but tolerable for me. She's sophisticated and beautiful and it suits her well. Ewan ko pero nagkasundo kami in an unexpected circumstance.
And Marra... how can I say it without sounding like I'm a creep? Uh, I think I am whipped of her. Who wouldn't be? Well, I respect people's preferences, but a guy with the same mindset and standards like me would definitely love her. Why? She's in the middle of being simple and elegant, she looks humorous and fun to be with. She's a girlfriend material for me.
"May irereto ako sa 'yo!" she said excitedly.
"Is it Marra?" I asked, and looked at her. She looked at me with wide eyes, napailing na lang ako.
"Ikaw, ha? Pinapakinggan mo pala 'yong maganda mong Ate!" she exclaimed, napailing na lang ako."Puro ka Marra! Mas maganda 'yong irereto ko sa 'yo, 'tsaka feeling ko magkakasundo kayo." She smirked.
If it isn't Marra, well, I am not interested. Sorry.
"Maganda 'yon, mas matangkad nang konti si Marra roon. Maputi, tapos Australian. Matalino at talented, sabi nga lang ni Shantelle seryoso at mahiyain daw 'yon 'tsaka may pagka-introvert." I like extroverts, but let's see.
Uh, am I crazy?!
I looked around and saw an unfamiliar surrounding yet cozy.
"Where's Ate?" I asked the driver. There, I saw my sister drinking wine, I noticed Ate Shanty, Eycee and Marra too, and some unfamiliar faces. I walked towards them with my handkerchief.
Pero bigla akong nailang, I felt like someone's looking at me. Yeah, literally there is, they were looking at me, obviously. But someone has a different kind of look.
"Oh! Gising ka na pala!" Ate gave me a smile, she modestly pointed at the girl who's staring at me.
"Be careful, mahuhuli ka niyang nakatitig," a guy said. Napatingin na ako sa kanila nang tuluyan.
