SOMEONE'S POINT OF VIEW
"In her arms, she lost him. And on that day, she felt like she lost herself too. Her world stopped rotating and it feels like her life stopped as well," pagsasalaysay ko. Kitang-kita ko naman ang lungkot sa mata ng mga estudyante dahil doon.
"Ouch, tragic ending!" I heard one of the students commented.
"So sad, kung kailan bumalik ang alaala niya, doon naman nawala 'yong prince niya!" one of the female student said, her eyes welling with tears.
"Tapos na po 'yon, Attorney?" asked by a male student, inilingan ko siya at ngumiti nang tipid.
"But in the end, the princess found a prince from a far, far away kingdom. They became married and had two children. Isang lalaki at isang babae. And to avoid the inevitable painful memory of the deceased prince, they've decided to go far away and build their own kingdom," pagkekwento ko.
"Eh, Attorney? Naging masaya ba naman 'yong princess? We all know that the dead prince is the princess' first love and like what the famous saying said, First love never dies. I'm sure na naaalala pa rin ni princess yung prince," asked by the lad who asked me earlier.
"Yeah, first love never dies. And you're right, kid. She still remembers the prince... She's still into the prince," malungkot na sabi ko.
"So you mean na rebound lang si prince from malayo? She didn't love the guy?" asked by a girl.
"You think they can have children if the princess haven't felt love for the prince she married?" I asked with a small smile. "Well, the princess loves the prince, but not the same way as she loves the deceased prince. And, if the alive prince is a rebound? I think so..." I shrugged my shoulders. "The princess changed a lot when the prince died---the dead prince. She became cold, her passion in writing was gone, she stopped singing and dancing and she haven't played the sports she's into since then. And also, instead of taking the course Dentistry, she shifted into financial management. She helped her husband in handling their business." Their eyes enlarged as they heard my statement. "She has no time for herself na, she has no time for her children and she has no time for her husband. She's too busy in handling their business."
"I know that it's non-fictitious. Hindi siya pwedeng realistic fiction lang, right, Attorney?" tanong na naman ng binatang kanina pa tanong nang tanong. I know he's curious of the princess and princes' story. So instead of being annoyed, I am being happy. Especially when I noticed that I piqued every students' attentions and curiosity. Lahat sila ay tutok sa kwento ko.
"Yes, it's a non-fictional story. Every single detail in this story is real and it's based on real life of someone I won't name," nakangiting sabi ko saka isinuksok ang kamay sa coat ko.
"Eh bakit parang gamay na gamay niyo po ang story nilang dalawa?" asked by a student who's sitting at the front row. Lahat sila ay nag-ingay marahil ay sumang-ayon sa tanong ng dalagang nasa unahan.
"Bakit alam niyo po ang story ng prinsesa at prinsipe, Attorney?" I smiled genuinely at them.
"Hello everyone, I am Shanice, I am a freelance writer and a lawyer at the same time." I looked above the sky and smiled. Vince Matthew, if you're listening, I hope you'll be proud of me. "And I... Will rewrite their destiny."
I will be rewriting fate...
