"Nothing Fancy,
Just Love."
"Do you have a name for him yet?" Jack asked as she walked through the park with Cody. The two best friends left the 'adults' back at Tobin's while they spent time with Cody's new dog and Blue.
"I do." Cody smiled as her new Husky rubbed his head on her leg before trotting off with Blue, who watched over the pup protectively.
"Ha! Blue treats the little guy just like Alex treats you." Jack laughed as Blue pulled the smaller dog away from a small crowd of teenagers.
Cody, unable to argue with scenario, chooses to laugh it off, "Kais."
"What?" Jack asked, spinning around to look at her best friend.
"His name. It's Kais."
"That's better than what I thought you'd pick." Jack shrugged.
"What did you think I'd pick?"
"Zeus II."
Cody glared at the blonde, "What kind of asshole would name their new pet after their old one?"
"Maybe they're not an asshole, maybe they're just incredibly lazy."

"So, Kristie..." Alex trails off, taking a seat on the couch beside Tobin as she looks at the blonde, who was sitting beside Christen.
"Uh, yeah?" Mewis queries, the uncertainty in her voice clear as the three woman smirk at her.
"I have a question." Alex started, her face stoic but mischief dancing in her eyes.
"Okay, about?"
"About the ring you gave my daughter."
Kristie froze, her eyes darting between the three women, much to Tobin's amusement, "What about it?"
"I'm just curious." Alex shrugs, watching her daughter's girlfriend carefully. "Why didn't you give her the ring you really wanted to give her?"
The blonde felt the room drop in temperature, but her body was beginning to sweat, she was fighting against her instincts to run from the situation she was suddenly in. "H-How do you know about that?"
"So it's true." Alex raised an eyebrow, sipping from her wine glass.
"Shit." Kristie whispered, glaring at Christen when the Forward laughed. "How did you know, really?"
"Tobin told me." Alex shrugged, ignoring the betrayed look her fiancée throws her way. "So did Kelley, Chris, Jack, Sam—"
"Okay, okay, I get it, everyone told you."
The three women watched as Kristie held her head in her hands, it wasn't the reaction any of them were expecting from the blonde.
"What's wrong?" Alex asked, discarding her glass and giving Kristie her full attention.
"Don't tell Cody." Mewis begged, her eyes pleading.
"We won't." Press comforted the blonde, running her hand up and down her friend's back.
"She's right, we won't."
Alex nodded along with Tobin and Christen before the nagging voice in her head began to demand answers, "What's going on, Kristie?"
"I do have an engagement ring that I bought for Cody," Kristie began, taking a deep breath. "I wanted to ask her, Sam and Jack made it their mission to convince me that now is the right time."
