"I can't believe your daughter is dating a Swedish player." Kling mutters from the seat in front of mine. I'm beside Tobin while Kling sits with Abby.
"I couldn't believe it either." I admit. "But if she's happy, then it's okay with me."
"But she's Swedish-" Kling starts again, only for Abby to interrupt her.
"Kling, shut up. You realize Magdalena's teammates probably say the same about her dating an American."
"Well...damn."
"Aww." Tobin's mumbles as we sit on the bus with the rest of the National Team, attracting the interest of others around us.
"What?"
"Your daughter and her girlfriend. Oh, and this." She hands me her phone, ignoring the other's and their questions which mirror my own.

Is Cody Morgan loving life in London?
Only days after the world of women's soccer was rocked by testimony from Cody Morgan, daughter of US star Alex Morgan, the youngster was back in London trying to get back to normal. She was spotted at the airport with fellow Arsenal teammates Leah Williamson, Jordan Nobbs and Daniëlle van de Donk.
Later that same night she was spotted at a local Sushi hotspot with her fellow soccer superstar girlfriend, and club team rival, Magdalena Eriksson. Rumor has it that the Swedish international footed the bill and the pair left hand in hand.
Now, the young Cody Morgan is back in the headlines as it's been reported from England that her contract with Arsenal came with a clause-"
"Did you know?" Tobin asks, as she reads along with me. "The artical is a few days old."
"No." I mumble out, not knowing anything about this despite being there when she signed her contract.
"It appears that Arsenal knew before signing the young American that she had issues with painkillers. Morgan, under the terms of her contract, must receive 1-2 drug tests per week, all of which must come back negative, to remain with the club.
The young forward is also being forced to play in midfield to cover for injured teammate Jordan Nobbs. Nobbs, who missed the World Cup, is on her way back and recently started training with her teammates again, something that Morgan must surely be happy about.
Arsenal Women's Football Club and Cody Morgan have refused to comment so far."
"The hell..." I mutter as I hand Tobin her phone back while getting my own phone, and calling my daughter. "Come on, answer."
"Hellooo?" My daughter's voice drawls out, seemingly only now waking up. "This better not be a sales call, I swear to-"
"Hi, baby girl. Did I wake you?"
"Oh. Hey mom. No, I'm...yeah, you did. It was date night last night." She chuckles and I hear her yawn. "So, what's up?"
"The story on ESPN?"
"What about it?" She replies, nonchalantly.
"Is it true? Do you have a clause in your contract?"
"I do. Is that the only reason you called, mom?"
"Why didn't you tell me?" I reduce the volume of my voice as I notice the many glances I'm receiving from my National Teammates.
"It's no big deal, besides, it was my idea."
