'--where is Alex Morgan heading?'
Cody chuckles as Blue whines at her feet, she pets the dogs head before patting his stomach as he lies down.
"It's like you can understand what's going on." Cody mumbles as she wipes down the kitchen table.
The US team won gold a few days ago, and the young brunette was expecting Tobin home any minute. Not just Tobin, though. Her mom, too.
Her mom was coming home.
Galleries of butterflies erupted in Cody's stomach as she thought about finally living with her mom. It didn't last long though, because Cody would be moving out soon. She wanted her own space long before her mom decided to move from the other side of the country, the youngest Morgan was tired of living with others.
She wanted her own place.
It was long overdue.
Well...to Cody.
The young brunette finished cleaning just as the sound of keys opening the front door echoed through the hall, followed by Blue barking happily, his paws bouncing off the hardwood floor heading to the front door.
"Woah." Tobin groaned as her body was shoved to the side by an over-excited Blue as he searched for Alex.
"Hi baby!" The older Morgan chuckled, a hand on Tobin's backpack strap preventing her from falling over. Alex crouched down to give Blue attention while Heath grumbled to herself.
"Thanks for the warm welcome, Blue."
Cody, watching and listening to the chaotic scene chuckled lightly. "Welcome home Tobin!"
The Jersey girl grinned, dumping her bags and wrapping the brunette in a warm hug, "Now that's a better welcome."
"I'm gonna let you go though, I wanna see my mom."
"I'm sure I'll live." Tobin sassed, letting go of Cody and picking the bags up to take them to her room.
"Blue," Cody spoke, immediately getting the attention of the giant baby of a dog. "The exercise ad is on TV again!"
Alex stood to her feet, confusion painted on her tanned face as Blue fled her side, running straight for the TV. Cody nodded her head towards the room and the two Morgan's followed the dog's steps silently. In the room they could see Blue copying the dog on the screen as it follows it's owners yoga movements.
"Wow." Alex chuckled breathily. "That's new."
"We got bored one day." Cody shrugged.
"I missed you, baby girl." Alex smiled, pulling her daughter into her arms, wrapping them tightly around her and planting a kiss on Cody's head.
