It happened seven days ago but I'm still not over it.

But it have been weeks since she left, may alikabok na ang paligid kaya ngayong nasa bahay lang naman ako at walang ibang gagawin dahil wala naman akong makakausap, naisipan kong maglinis ng buong bahay.

I cleaned our kitchen first, tapos ang sala at banyo, huli ang kwarto namin. I'm on my way to throw away the garbage from our room when I tripped because of the floormat. I cussed in annoyance and even kick the mat as revenge.

My eyebrows moved when I saw something on the floor. My curiosity lead me to pick up the three things I saw. And I'm not that dumb not to recognized what were those things and its use.

I got a sudden chills and my hands started to tremble.

"Is it possible..." Nanghihina ako. "Cassy..."

My knees wobbled, kaya napaupo ako sa sahig. Hindi ko maipaliwanag ang nararamdaman ko ngayon. Everything went white and I just couldn't think anything. I stayed at the floor moveless for a while.

This sudden reveal drained my energy. It hits me like a lightning. Wala man lang kulog na nagbabala bago ako tamaan.

"Where are you?!" mabagsik ang tinig na tanong ng aking ama mula sa kabilang linya.

"Nasa bahay ako. Bakit ba?" pabalang kong sagot. Wala ako sa tamang huwesiyo ngayon.

"What are you doing there?! Don't tell me you didn't know that your wife was brought to the hospital?!"

"What?!" gulat na napatayo ako. "Why?! Anong nangyari kay Cassy?!"

"You, stupid child! I texted you the address, go there ASAP!" he ended the call.

I immediately throw away the cleaning gloves I've been wearing.

"May I know Cassy Smith's room? She was admitted here a while ago."

"Oh," the lady blinked when she saw me. "Ahm, what's your relationship with the patient, Sir?" she giddily asked.

"My wife."

"Ah—" she answered in dismay. "Wait for a second po, ah." I nodded and she started searching in her computer.

"Second floor po, Sir, room 51," she informed me.

"Thank you." I immediately went to the elevator without waiting for her response.

I was in a hurry to see Cassy. And thankfully, it was easy to find the room she was in.

The first person I saw was Greg. Hindi na rin ako nagulat. Even if I expected to see our parents, it was no doubt that he would surely be present.

But I sense something wrong when our eyes met. He had this cocky smug on his face everytime he see me but now, he was different.

I also wonder why he was leaning at the wall beside the room's door and not waiting inside. Then he stood properly and walked towards me.

I thought he would come to me, punch me hard on the face for not taking care of Cassy. But he didn't. He just passed me as if I was a stranger.

"Greg," I called him. But he didn't stop. He just waved his back hands and continued leaving.

So, I just stopped paying attention to him. Mas may dapat akong unahin.

I slowly opened the room's door.

She was sitting on her bed.

She was expressionless but she looks tired.

I wanted to confront her immediately. But she looked sick. It was obvious that she was not feeling well and I'm a bit guilty.

"Why?" I sounded almost like a whisper. I know she was tired, pero pagod rin ako.

Cassy didn't answer my question. She just kept on staring, more on glaring at me. As far as I could remember, ako ang galit sa kanya. Why did the table turned upside-down?

"Bumalik ka na sa bahay," I exhaled deeply and sat at the couch of her private room.

"You know?" Her forehead creased.

"Of course, I do. You always go to him everytime something happened." I was not able to hide the sound of annoyance in my voice.

"I'm... I'm not staying there anymore," iwas niya mg tingin.

"At my parents house."

I stared at her for a while. I had a lot of questions for her but I controlled myself.

I carefully asked.

"Don't worry. They already know our situation.

"What do you mean by that?

I looked at her intently. I really wanna know what was she thinking. I suddenly wanna know everything about her.

"How did you end up here, by the way?"

"Ah, uhm, I got tired from w-work," she stammered.

"Oh," I nodded. I chose to believe her even of I'm in doubt. "Then stop working. I'm getting back the company. And go back home."
