Thank you for coming this far ✨

Theana was the first character I've ever written and I didn't expect she'll be this remarkable to me. I didn't expect her character to develop this much because I'm just starting to write pa lang lol. Madami pa akong kailangang matutunan, but Theana's character really did stunned me. She's like my calling to write that's why I don't want to end her yet. She has a long way ahead of her pa.

See you in the Light of the Intruding Hymn!

Epilogue

"There was once a baby boy born in a tower..."

Thalia played with my little hand. She pulled the fingers one by one and we laughed together whenever I flinched.

"In a tower, there are two ways, Thea... Only two ways. It's either you go up or you go down. You let yourself fall or you rise..." She continued exclaiming.

I'm not ready for this story yet! I like the girl in the cave more for tonight.

"Thea..." She sighed. "Makinig ka nalang sakin--I told you to close your eyes!" She hissed.

She started combing my hair like she always does to make me fall asleep.

"To be in a tower is more terrifying than to be in a cave," she spoke in her lulling voice.

"Because you need to have a claim. A reason on why you need to be above. It will serve as your strength to ascend higher until you reach the topmost part..."

I giggled and closed my eyes again. The dozing sound of her voice started to soothe me to sleep.

"This baby boy that was born inside the tower remained to be a child for a long time inside. He was born in the highest part, and all his life he never went down. One day after many centuries passed, he realized there is only one thing he truly wanted all his life..."

"...and that is to fall."

"B-Bakit? Bakit gusto niyang malaglag?"

She didn't answer. I just felt her shake her hand and caressed the tip of my fingers. "I honestly don't know..." Naibulong nalang niya. "Maybe for him, his fall was also his way of rising."

"Or maybe because the tower wasn't just his home..." Tahimik na dugtong ko at humikab.

Narinig ko ang manghang tawa niya. "Perhaps, maybe you're right, Thea. Hindi ko naisip iyan..." She laughed and then quieted. "But, whatever his reason is... It threw away many things when he fall. Alam mo ba ang pakiramdam ng malaglag? Have you fallen from a tower, Theana?"
