Hardin Chapter 18

What have I done.........I'm in a relationship. I want to be with her but now I have the bet and a relationship, I can make this work. She'll never find out and we will be happy.

I knock on the door, a few seconds later the door opens and Kim rolls her eyes.

"Gavin isn't here Hardin, go away."

She tries to slam the door.

"I'm actually here to see you Kim, please."

She slowly opens the door and stares at me.

"Did you just say please? What do you want?" She asks rudely.

"Advice." He says quietly.

She takes a few moments to think before she opens the door fully and lets me into her apartment.

"What do you want Hardin?"

"Well.............it's Tessa."

"I told you to leave her alone, she's not the fuck buddy kind of girl." She rolls her eyes.

"I know.........we are dating."

"WHAT!"

"Look I know that it's crazy but I............I like her."

"Oh my god, Hardin what are you doing. Do you even know how to be in a relationship?"

"No, why else would I fucking be here. I need your....................help."

"Oh my god." She starts laughing.

"The all mighty and powerful Hardin Scott is asking someone else for help, I never thought I would live to see this day."

"Fuck this, never mind."

I walk towards the door but she steps in front of me.

"I'll help, but you have to promise that you won't hurt her. Look what her last relationship did to her, that girl probably has scars from that awful ex."

"I would never hurt her like that."

"I know, but you're stupid and you don't think before you speak."

"Kim I came here for help on how to be a boyfriend not a therapy session."

"Ok ok.........just be yourself, she obviously likes you for some strange reason. Just be nice and respectful and be a gentleman, and for the love of god please think before you speak. Also you have to be trustworthy and faithful, you can't fuck around with Sam or other girls. You're in a relationship, it's just you and Tessa. No one else matters but you and her, and if you break heart heart I will kill you."

"Thanks." He says sarcastically.

"Just............be honest with her."

She'll never know about the bet, she means so much more to me than that stupid bet. If she finds out about it she'll never look at me the same, I care about her too much and I'm too selfish to own up to my mistakes.

"What do I do now? We literally just got together."

"You just got together and you left her alone?"
She covers her face with her hands and lets out a sigh.

"You're an idiot." She says.

"What was I supposed to do? This is awkward."

"It's only awkward because you made it awkward, you guys should be cuddled up watching a movie."

"We aren't that kind of couple." He rolls his eyes.
