⚠️SENSITIVE WORDS⚠️
1 week later.
I'm so exhausted today, last week was ok but for some reason this week I've been so under the weather. Hardin noticed that something was wrong but I just brushed it off, I don't want him worrying about me.
...
I'm happy it's Friday, the day has been going really slow but thankfully I only have one more class. I really hate my outfit today, I usually try to dress cute for school but this whole week I've just been wearing sweats. Hardin definitely doesn't like the sweats but I just didn't have the energy to try.
Hardin meets me outside my psychology class.
"Hey." He says.
"Hi." I answer.
"How was class?" He asks.
"It's was ok, we just took a bunch of notes." I say quietly.
We walk down the hallway.
"How was English?" I ask.
"I don't know, I don't listen in class."
"What am I not surprise." I says softly.
We just share a moment of silence.
"Do you wanna do something after class today?" He asks.
"I have a lot of homework, maybe another day."
"Oh, ok." He adds.
Once we get to my class I give him a faint smile before I walk inside and take my seat, I'm the first one here. Mr. Churn writes something on the board while I get my laptop out and open up a blank doc so I can take notes.
"Good morning Miss. Young."
I look up at him.
"Morning Mr. Churn."
I look to the board and see the words Sexual Abuse written on the board in red marker, my whole body gets goosebumps as I try my hardest not to let the memories come back.
"Is everything alright?" Be asks.
"Yeah, I'm ok."
He looks at me for a bit before he walks over to his desk and pulls out a sandwich.
"My wife made me this, it's peanut butter and jelly." He says which a bright smile.
"That's sweet." I add softly.
"Yeah, I love my wife."
I give him a faint smile before I slowly type the title of today's lesson on my laptop.
"You're always the first one to my class."
"I just don't like to be late."
"Miss. Young are you sure you are alright?"
I just shrug. He puts his sandwich back in a plastic bag before he stands up and erases the board. Students start to flood the class as quiet banter fills the room, once everyone is seated he starts his lesson.
"Morning class, originally I had a lesson planned but instead I'm giving you guys the period. You all can leave now and go home, we will continue work on Wednesday. Have a great weekend."
The room is empty in seconds, I quickly pack my bag.
"Thank you for the free period Mr. Churn."
"I could tell you needed it, get some rest. A warm bowl of soup always cheers me up." The old man says with a warm smile.
I give him my best smile before I leave the class, I walk out of the building and leave the school. I walk across the street and walk into the library, luckily it's pretty empty. I sit at my usual table and pull out my laptop, I plug my headphones in before I put on my hood. I go to Netflix and put on The Notebook before I prop my head up on my arms and watch the movie.
