1 Week later

...

We both slowly sip our mugs and drink our coffees that he made, one of his arms is draped over my shoulder while I rest my head on his shoulder. We sit on the couch in his office and both long out the window watching as the tiny flakes of snow fall to the ground and gather. I love when we have moments like this.

I turn and look up at him, he looks down at me and smiles.

"What is it darling?" He asks in his beautiful raspy morning voice.

My stomach swarms with butterflies and I get goosebumps, the effect he has on me will forever shock me.

"Nothing, I just like when we have moments like this." I say trying to hide my obvious smile.

He smirks before he leans in and kisses my lips.

"I like watching snow with you too baby."

I smile before I rest my head back in his shoulder.

"It's almost thanksgiving." I say softly.

"Really? I haven't noticed how much time has passed." He says.

"I know right, we've been together for almost 4 months." I say with a giggle.

He suddenly gets really quiet.

"What do wanna do for thanksgiving?" I ask hopping to lighten the conversation.

He sips his coffee.

"I don't know, I've never celebrated before. I usually just do nothing." He says honestly.

It makes me upset that he's never celebrated a holiday with family.

"Well my mom wants us to come over, she's having this "spectacular feast" as she says."

We chuckles.

"Then let's go, I'm interested in her "spectacular feast"." He says.

"Really? My whole family is gonna be there, like cousins and all." I say.

He smiles.

"Tess you and I have been through a lot, I think I can handle a dinner with family."

I'm shocked by his response.

"Ok, but when my little cousins start coloring in your tattoos with markers I don't wanna hear anything."

We both break into laugher and in the moment everything is perfect.

"Don't forget to clear your schedule for next weekend." I remind him.

"Next weekend? Why?"

"Steve and Kelly's wedding."

He rolls his eyes.

"Tess do we really have to go to that bullshit, I hate weddings." He whines.

"Hardin it's a wedding, our bosses wedding. We have to go, it would be rude if we didn't go."

"No it wouldn't, they won't even notice if we aren't there."

I look at him and roll my eyes.

"Hardin we are going, and we each have a plus one so if you don't wanna go I'll gladly take Kim." I tease.

He bites his bottom lip before he brings his mug to his lips.

"Come on, I promise it will be fun. We can dance and eat and have fun. I've never been to a wedding, we could have a nice time.......please."
