3 Days later.

Hardin and I leave for my parents house today after work and I'm so fucking excited, these last couple of days have been pretty good, hell they've been amazing. Hardin has been doing a really good job at showing me the ropes, I've learned so much about my body that I didn't even know.

I have to give it to him, he's really good.

My mind always wanders to the reason why he's really good but I try not to think about the other girls, he didn't love them.

We decided to hold on apartment searching until we come back from my parents house, I still can't believe he suggested we get an apartment together. I'm just so amazed by his growth, he went from not holding my hand in public to getting a home with me, a real home. A place that's ours, that's only ours. I try to act cool around him but I'm so happy, it's like all the pieces in my life are falling perfectly in place. I mean we technically already live together but this is different, we can walk around naked and we can cook together. We can be as loud as we want and just be ourselves, I'll also feel so safe.

Everything is perfect, I hope it stays this way.

...
It's Friday.

It's 12:00pm and Hardin and I are leaving in an hour to head to my parents house, the drive is three hours and thirty minutes so it's best if we leave early.

We are at work because I needed to sign some paper before we left, Hardin is just submitting some of his chapters while I finish up in my office.

We are mostly packed, we don't need to bring much since it's just a three day trip but I'm so excited. I just hope Hardin is on his best behavior.

...

I send one last email before I pack my computer and lock up my office, I walk to Hardins office.

When I approach the door I hear him talking, I decide to be nosy and listen.

"Are you gonna be gone for a long time?" Sam asks softly.

"No, only a few days." Hardin reassures.

"But you're coming back right?"

"Yes."

"You promise."

"Sam it's just a few days that we are gonna be gone."

"My mommy said the same thing and she still hasn't come back, everyone leaves and I can't lose anymore people." She says quietly.

Hardin examines her tiny sad face.

"Come here."

I peak in the office and see them sit on his couch.

"Sam what happened with your mum isn't your fault, sometimes adults have problems and they take those problems out on their kids. I know you probably blame yourself for what happened with your parents but I promise it's not your fault."

"Then why did she leave?"

"I don't know, all I do know is that your parents love you no matter what."

"No they don't, I haven't seen my dad in days. My nanny takes me everywhere, all my dad does is flash his money. I haven't seen my mom in months. All I ever wanted was him to spend time with me, he never comes to my dance recitals and he always misses my birthdays. He never says good morning or good night and he's never home, he hasn't said that he loves me ever since my mom left. He doesn't love me, he blames me for her leaving, I know he does. I'm dead weight that he's forced to carry around, I don't even think half the people in this office know that he's my dad. The only reason I'm here is because it's the only place that I might see him....................you can't leave me Hardin..............if you leave I'll have no one left."
