As I'm answering some emails my phone starts to ring, it's my mom.

I answer.

"Hey mommy."

"Hey honey, I miss you so much."

"I miss you too mom, I'm actually at work right now."

"Oh I'm sorry, I can call later. I just really missed you."

"No it's ok, I have a few minutes. I actually need to tell you something."

"Oh, is everything alright? Do you need us to send money or another package?"

"No, I'm ok. It's about this weekend, Hardin and I are gonna come visit you guys. He wants to meet you and dad."

My mother shrieks in excitement.

"Yes finally I get to meet the man that's making my Tessie so happy, you're father is gonna be so happy. We miss you so much."

"I miss you guys too mom, I'm excited for you guys to meet him. I think he's the one mom...................I haven't been this happy in a really long time."

"Oh honey I'm so happy for you, he seems amazing. Your father is gonna be walking you down that isle soon, I already have the decorations arranged." My mother says with a laugh.

"Ok let's not rush into things mom, you guys haven't even met him yet."

"I don't care, I know I'll love him. As long as he makes you happy that's all that matters."

"Well I gotta go, I'll call you later." I say.

"Ok, I gotta start cleaning the house. Things have been so slow without you here, I gotta make sure everything is clean for when you and Hardin get here. Make sure you pack swimsuits because the pool is still open."

"Mom you don't need to stress yourself out, Hardin doesn't care about how clean the house is. Trust me, Hardin doesn't care about organization." I say with a laugh.

"Please, your father and I wanna make a good first impression. Hardin is part of the family, the last thing we need is for him to think that we are messy."

If only she knew what our dorm currently looks like right now.

"Well don't stress, I don't wanna scare him mom."

"Scare him? Nonsense, we will welcome with open arms. But you know your father, he has to do the whole protective dad thing. I'm sure everything will be fine."

"Ok, well I really gotta go mom. I love you."

"Love you too, wait before you go I have a question. Is Hardin allergic to anything? What are his favorite foods?"

"Nope, he just hates pineapple but he literally eats everything."

"Ok, I'll send your father food shopping. Bye honey."

"Bye mom."

I end the call.

I'm excited for Hardin to meet my parents, this weekend is gonna be great. I miss my parents so much and I'm happy I'm gonna see them, I miss my childhood home and my backyard and my mom. I miss baking with her, and I miss helping my dad fix the cars. I miss my bedroom, I hated my room after what happened in it but now it doesn't affect me as much. Now that I'm with Hardin it's like everything else doesn't matter, and who knows, maybe Hardin and I can create our own memories in my childhood room.

I hope he still wants to go.

He is acting so weird, we were fine this morning. We were playful and laughing and now he's back to being closed off and secretive.
