"We know about the lunar eclipse", Ethan stated. Lydia and Baby stood in the corner, the two of them watching. In front of them stood the three Hales. Cora looking much better than she did the last time baby saw her. She glared at him and he grinned back, flashing his fangs. Yeah, she still didn't like him.

"So don't think Cali's going to sit around waiting for it to level the playing field. She's coming. My brother's coming with her", Ethan faltered slightly on the last words.

"Good enough for me", Peter announced. "Derek?"

"You want me to run?" Derek asked.

"No. I want you to stay and get slaughtered by and alpha with a psychotic foot fetish. Of course I want you to run", Peter snapped. He stomped round to face Derek head on. "Sprint, gallop, leap your way the hell out of this town".

"If you want to fight and die for something", Cora voiced. "That's fine with me. But do it for something meaningful".

"How do you know I'm going to lose?" Derek retorted.

"We don't", Peter huffed. "But I bet she has an idea". He turned to face Lydia. "Don't you Lydia?" Baby stepped slightly infront of her as Peter drew closer.

"I don't know anything", Lydia replied warily.

"But you feel something. Don't you?"

"What do you feel?" Derek asked.

Lydia paused, here eyes driving towards the floor for a second. Then she looked back up and took a breath. "I feel like I'm standing in a graveyard".

"That's foreboding", Baby commented.

"Ah yes", Peter's eyes turned to him. "The vampire. Do any of you know what happens to a vampire during a lunar eclipse?" He stepped close enough to reach out and touch Him. "Well we werewolves loose all our power. Vampires on the other hand. They grow weaker in sunlight, the power drop from and alpha to an omega".

"But we've seen him fight off alphas during the day", Ethan protested. "He threw my brother to the floor in broad daylight".

"It's true", Baby smiled sharply at Peter. "My power changes significantly from night to day. In strength alone I wouldn't stand a chanced against an alpha when under the sunlight. The reason why I can quite easily beat you during the day, is because I trained for it. You guys lumber around throwing wide punches like toddlers", he grinned cockily. "I have actually been taught how to fight. It's how I can pin you alphas down so easily. Just skill and years of martial arts". He laughed and Lydia smiled behind him.

"You know", she murmured. "I think I like you even better now".

"So if we draw our power from the moon", Cora voiced. "And vampires draw theirs from the dark. What happens to him during a lunar eclipse?"

Baby beamed at her with a mouth full of pointy teeth, his eyes lighting up silver. "I grow stronger", he snarled gleefully.

"There you go", Peter clapped his hands. "Just bribe the vampire to fight for us. That will solve all our problems".

"No".

Peter blinked. "Derek?"

"No", Derek repeated. He sighed. "I already owe Baby three favours, blood favours. One blood favour is bad enough, let alone three. I can't risk anymore".

"Smart choice", Baby nodded. "I don't really want to save your arses again anyway. You hales are so ungrateful". Cora growled at him for the insult. "No. Instead I recommend you guys come up with a plan because I won't be helping you on this one".

The warning alarm cut off with a crash as Cali kicked the box off the wall. It clattered along the floor as she turned to face them. Her eyes lingering on Ethan and Baby for a second before settling on Lydia. "Where is he?" Behind her, Aidan loomed like a blocky shadow.

Lydia clicked her fingers a put on a confused face. "I think he said he was heading out to do some shopping, run a few errands".

"Just general werewolf things", Baby smiled. "You know, get oil for his fur, floss for his fangs", he shrugged. "You guys know how it is".

"The usual werewolf afternoon", Lydia coughed.

"Who do you think you're talking to?" Cali snarled, stalking slowly closer. Baby guessed that she was trying for menacing but he was honestly fed up with this alpha pack and their ridiculous morals.

Lydia crossed her arms. "Someone in desperate need of a pedicure. I'd be happy to give you a referral". Baby snorted and hurriedly hid his laughter behind his hand.

There was a rumble of a growl but it didn't come from Cali. Aidan was staring at them, his eyes fixed on Ethan as the rumble started to build in his throat. Ethan didn't move or say anything. He merely stared back calmly. Cali turned to Aidan with a pissed off smirk. "Oh really?" She began circling him. "Did someone take their little assignment too seriously?"

Aidan glanced at Lydia and Ethan and sighed, the growl cutting off as he stood down. "She's not the problem".

"Maybe the problem is where your loyalties lie", Cali snapped back.

"Did you not notice but the Vampire is here", Aidan hissed, squaring up to Cali. "Neither of us know how to beat him and we can't during a lunar eclipse. Deucalion said to leave him alone".

Cali snarled, eyes darting to Baby for a second. Baby gave a cocky little wave. "Deucalion isn't here!" She screamed. "That vampire has been a pain in our sides ever since he turned up. We might as well remove him from the board".

She turned, eyes blazing to bare her teeth at Baby. He felt his fangs pop out as he snarled back. "Oh god", Lydia muttered. "Is this about to get really violent?"

"Probably", Ethan replied.

Then the skylight shattered. Baby and Ethan reacted at the same time. Both boys grabbed Lydia and threw themselves to the side as broken glass rained all over the floor. A figure with long dark hair landed on the concrete. She threw her hair back and stood up, completely unharmed by her fall or the glass. "So", Jennifer announced as she looked over the scene. "Who wants to go first?"
