Chapter 58 - Conclusion

"Asta behind you!"

He effortlessly jumps out of the way as Lucifero tries to hit him, Nacht coming from behind to counter but failing to come close enough. I grit my teeth, firing my own attack, but also missing. Pants escape my lips as all of us begin to run low on energy, but not wanting to give in. Why would we? Unless we wanted our world to fall, we can't give up.

"You wretched girl! You're getting on my nerves" Lucifero growls, turning his attention to me

"That's kind of the point" I snap back as he uses his gravity magic to get close to me

"Light Magic: Light shield"

"Tch do you really think of me as so weak that I can't break your pathetic excuse of a shield?" He breaks it with no problem, sending me flying back into a broken wall, making me lose my breath

'So tired'

My body is aching at this point. My limbs are about ready to fall off, my mana is starting to run thin...everything feels fuzzy and heavy...

My eyes threaten to close, though my spirit is fighting the fatigue, it seems as though my body won't listen to my mind anymore

But that all goes away in an instant

Mimosa's healing magic begins to fill my body at a rapid pace, as if she's pouring her everything into giving me more strength.

"Mimosa..."

"You're not just going to be the one to seal away Lucifero for good, you're my best friend and you're going to survive this fight, and we're going to celebrate together when everything is over" She speaks clearly, but toward the end her voice grows softer

I smile as I raise my arm for her to stop, nodding my head at her declaration. "It's a promise"

I didn't just promise her though

I promised everyone

Captain William, Asta, Nacht, Lolopechka, Kaito, and Yuno

As well as everyone else in this world

I won't run away anymore

I won't pray and wish that I was born differently and normal like Mimosa 

"Lightning magic: speed of light" in less then a second I am by Asta's side, landing my first hit on Lucifero's body, making everyone's mouth gape in shock. 

"Dark magic: dark sword" I attempt to cut through him but he's too fast. I click my tongue as he moves away, a scowl clear on his face from anger

"You dare hit me?! I will make you regret the day you came into this life" He threatens, raising his arm

"I won't regret anything anymore!"

This will end it

It's time to unleash the full power of this grimoire

~Flashback~

"What do you mean it's not bound by the laws of nature"

"Just as it sounds" Iris start. "Your grimoire and your powers are not bound like everyone else's are. Think of it like this, any normal person has one type of power that naturally comes to them, that they train for years before they can actually handling it confidently. Their grimoire has spells specific to only them, which sticks to only their magic type. But since you have a special grimoire, you are completely unbound by the laws of nature."

"So what are you saying?"

"I'm saying that you can use different magic at once. You can use fire and water at the same time, light and dark, water and wind, you get the idea"
