Chapter 5 - Questions and Answers

"Y/n" My head snaps up and I see Mimosa with a worried expression on her face. "You've been in a daze and I'm worried about you. Are you sure you're ok? Did something happen during the battle?"

"Mimosa I promise you I'm fine" 

She looks skeptically at me as everyone starts to get on their broom and head back to base. The entire ride I can't focus on the way. I killed two people first of all. Second, I feel like I don't know who I am anymore. Is it really right that I'm here? Not just in Golden Dawn, but in the Clover Kingdom. Maybe I should just go home and wait to see if someone will kill me. It'll make their job easier and I won't put anyone in danger.

I walk upstairs and see Captain William's office. I gulp before knocking lightly on the door. A quiet 'come in' is heard and I open the door, seeing the Captain smiling at me. 

"Y/n, always a pleasure, but what can i do for you?"

I hesitate for a minute. Should I tell him? I mean, he was nice enough to give me a place to stay and is keeping my secret...he has the right to know. But what if he kicks me out? William lets out a small laugh, then opens his mouth. 

"Judging by your silence, it's serious. Something to do with you past?" I nod my head. "Let us go to the castle then. Langris can get us there using his magic" 

William asks Langris to take us to the castle, which he does. He then leads me to the Wizard king's office where we wait for a little. The wizard king appears and we both bow

"That you for meeting me" 

The Wizard king nervously laughs before speaking up. "You don't have to bow Y/n, now, what's troubling you?"

I gulp. "In the attack on Kiten, I faced off with a soldier and....he knew about my past. He said that he wanted to 'finish what he started' so I assumed he meant that he's the one that killed my family, but after I defeated him, I got a weird feeling like....it was like, it's not over" I take another deep breath. "Also..."

The wizard king smiles gently. "It's okay Y/n take your time"

"....when I was using my dark magic...it was almost like the magic was pouring out of me. It was...menacing."

"I see why you're worried, but I don't think you really have to." He gives me a wide smile. "You've taken care of the person who killed your family-"

"But that's just it!" I interject. "It's not over and I feel it...I just can't explain why..."

He thinks for a moment. "If the person came from the Diamond Kingdom, most likely, if it was a group effort, the rest of them are from the Diamond Kingdom too. They shouldn't come after you straight after this attack, so you have time. As for your concerns about your dark power" He stops for a moment. "I don't really know"

"...you...you don't know?"

"Not a clue" He wears a huge grin on his face

'haha...I don't know why I thought I would get guidance on this...I'm not even from here'

"You could talk to Yami" 

"Who's Yami?"

"Captain Yami. He's the captain of the Black Bulls" Captain William explains. "He's not from here either and he uses dark magic"

'He might be my best bet at getting answers'

"Okay...where can I find him?"

"Langris can take you there with his spatial magic" I nod my head and bid farewell to the wizard king before I leave the room with Captain William. Just as he said, Langris agreed to take me to the base, which I'm now standing in front of. I gulp, raising my hand to knock on the door.
