Chapter 45 - A Crumbled World

The silence that filled the room is interrupted by a harsh quacking that caused the captain and I to slightly lose our balance, exchanging shocked expressions. Alecdora bursts through the door, frantically looking at the both of us.

"Captain! The spade kingdom! They've come!"

'They're.....here!?'

"Alecdora how many are there?" I frantically ask as he takes a gulp.

"Three of them"

'Only three....that could be good or bad for us'

Another loud crash sends me out of my daze, realizing that this is no time to be standing up here. Once downstairs again, I'm met with the three mages that stand before the squad, two of them having sinister grins painted on their faces, and the last one, a neutral bored expression.

"How did they even get in?" Someone whispers, making my eyes widen

"Everyone!" I start. "These are Spade Kingdom mages meaning they are a forced to be reckoned with! Do not underestimate them!"

"Y/n get in spirit dive now!" Kaito shakily exclaims, his eyes almost popping out of his head. "These people...the one in the middle the most....they're bad news. He's the devil possessed one!"

Taking Kaito's command I go into spirit dive just as most of the members fire their spells at the three of them. Dust forms around clouding the vision of them, yet when it clears only two remain completely untouched.

'Where did he...'

"Hello there" A voice speaks from behind me, making the blood run cold in my body. "We've searched a great deal to find you 2nd princess. So this is where you've been hiding all this time"

I grit my teeth, flying up and using my first attack, only for him to disappear. I frantically look around, hearing him speak again.

"Fortunately for you though, my mission isn't to capture you just yet. I'm only here for William Vangeance"

A second attack flies toward him, which he dodges with ease. "Don't you dare lay a hand on the captain" Panic and worry start to fill my body as he simply lets out a breath and continues to make his way toward the captain's room, where him and Alecdora still wait. The two dark disciples start to charge up their own magic spells, beginning the fight between them and us.

'Do I get to the Captain or stay here! I can't leave them but Captain William....'

One of my squad members is then launched into the wall next to me, making my eyes widen and my instincts to kick in. I take a deep breath and blink slowly.

'you are a member of golden dawn....you can do this'

"Fire magic: Fire dragon king's roar!" the flames take shape and charge at the two in front of me as everyone continues to fight for their lives against them. The more this goes on, the more the base gets destroyed, and I wonder what's going to happen after this. If we can even defeat them....even now they don't even have a dent on their magic armor...and Captain William...
