When I woke up this morning, I could already tell something was off

Yuno had gotten up shortly after me and took notice at my serious face

My eyes were glued to the window as I was putting on my cloak and getting ready to head to the Tower of Hope where we'd be sworn in as royal magic knights.

"Y/n is everything ok?"

"Something feels off Yuno...I don't know what it is though"

He shakes his head. "You think too much. You have to focus on the task at hand. Let's get going, everyone else is waiting"

I close my door and Kaito get comfortable in one of my pockets as Yuno and I begin to walk towards the mess hall to grab something to eat. I can't help but look up at the sky and narrow my eyes. No matter what Yuno says, I know there's something off about today. My mind traces back to the exam and then to what Kaito told me about my powers.

'With great power comes great danger I guess'

"Come on Y/n, we're going to be late"

"Right"

~Tower of Hope~

I let out a sigh as everyone starts to trickle in. Kaito, in his human form stands next to me wearing his own cloak and Yuno has his hand interlaced with mine. Once everyone stops coming, Yuno lets go of my hand and everyone starts to stand up straight as the lady walked up to the stage.

"From the Silver Eagles, Nils Ragus"

"Yes ma'am"

"The Vice Captain of Coral Peacocks, Kirsch Vermillion, From the Blue Rose Knights, Puli Angel, From Green Praying Mantis, En Ringard, From Aqua Deer, Captain Rill Boismortier and Fragil Tormenta"

'Man this is so boring...'

"From Golden Dawn, Hamon Caseus, Klaus Lunettes, Mimosa Vermillion, Yuno, and Y/n L/n"

We all salute simultaneously and immediately after, I zone out. Probably not the wisest idea being that this is a very important mission, but would you want to sit through introductions of literally every single magic knight? Didn't think so. 

"HEY YUNO" Asta's booming voice snaps out of my temporary daze. As I turn my head toward his direction, my gaze softens as I see everyone else also coming into the conversation. 

'How did I get so lucky' 

"Hey Asta! Great to see you here"

"Oh Y/n!" Asta smiles and waves as I walk in between Yuno and Mimosa

"I'm so happy that I get to work with you again Asta." Mimosa speaks with a slight blush starting to creep on her face

'You would think Yuno would be the one with more fangirls but I guess it's Asta, not that I'm complaining' A smirk starts to form on my face as Yuno puts a hand on my head. I look up to him with a questioning expression, only to see him put his other hand over his face

'Is he...blushing?'

"Yuno? Are you flustered?"

He clears his throat, moving his hand from my head. "Of course not"

 "I'm late in introducing myself" Everyone's attention is redirected to the stage. " But I am Mereoleona Vermillion and I have been appointed as the Captain of the Royal Knights"
