All of the magic knights start going down and helping the move of rubble and broken down buildings in order to get the citizens to safety. I am using my light magic to heal those with grave injuries so they can continue on with their lives, though, I can't shake the feeling I had when talking to Hylia.

Yuno, who was fighting without me, used almost all of his mana to survive and save the citizens of the kingdom, yet he still stands here, using every bit of magic to carefully move everyone. And I did nothing, like a damsel in distress I passed out and did nothing to help. And still, he defeated that monster. Gritting my teeth I finish healing someone, and wait for another to come. This process continues for a while, me evaluating myself and continuing my job.

Soon we are dismissed to go back to the base and I ride my broom silent. Kaito sits on my shoulder also not saying anything while Mimosa, Yuno and Klaus fly further behind. By the time we get to the base, I hop off my broom, and walk swiftly to my room without any conversation with anyone. I shut my door, throwing off my cloak and placing my grimoire inside my desk in the process.

"Tsk"

"Y/n?" Kaito suddenly speaks. "Is everything-"

"Tomorrow" I start. "We're getting up bright and early to train"

"With Yuno?"

"No"

"With Yami?"

"No. We're training alone"

He doesn't say anything in response so I move to the bathroom to take a shower. I let out a sigh as the bath begins to fill and I wait as the steam fills the room.

~Kaito's POV~

Y/n closes the door to the bathroom and I lay on her pillow.

'I wonder what I should do...she must be feeling weak. Maybe talk to Yuno? Mimosa?'

I fly through the open window around the base and start thinking. Logically, I'd be better to go to Yuno, but that might not be a wise decision, considering he's very powerful and talented, which would just pressure Y/n, at the same time Mimosa is very timid and I don't think Y/n would get much training out of it. She's not very close with Klaus so that's not an option either....

"Kaito?" A voice knocks me out of my daze and I turn around to face them, seeing Captain Vangeance.

"Captain Vangeance"

"What are you doing out here by yourself? I assumed you'd be with Y/n"

"That's it!" Captain Vangeance looks at me with a confused expression and I shake my head. "Y/n has been upset ever since the end of the battle, I assume because she thinks she's weak and didn't help anyone, specifically Yuno."

He nods, a smile appearing on his face. "I have an idea. Don't worry, she'll be back to normal in no time"

~Y/n's POV~

I step out of the bathroom to see Kaito still laying on the pillow facing the wall. I let out a breath as I dry my hair using a towel. As I am, a knock at the door catches my attention. Opening the door my eyes meet the Captain's and I give him a confused expression.

"Captain? Is everything alright?"

"Y/n. Do you have a minute?"

"Sure" I whisper quietly before closing my door. He leads me outside to the fountain and takes a seat on the bench, patting down next to him for m to sit. I hesitantly sit down and he sends me a gentle smile before looking up to the sky. Copying his actions, my eyes are drawn stars illuminating the night sky, bringing a strange sense of peace. You'd never guess that the capital was in shambles and everyone almost died because of the elves' attack.
